Holy freakin’ cow!!! News has leaked onto the internet that Alésia Glidewell, the voice actress who did Krystal’s English voice in Assault, will be doing the voice acting for Krystal in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The source of the leak? Alésia herself! As you can see on her website, she lists Krystal from Star Fox as one of the voices she supplied in Brawl (in addition to Knuckle Joe and Zero Suit Samus).
This doesn’t confirm anything at this time other than the fact that Krystal will be in the game and she will speak. However, this could potentially be as a playable character, an assist trophy, or as another type of non-playable character (think the secret messages that Fox and Falco could get on Star Fox levels in Melee).
Either way, I’m thrilled and I’m sure you are too! Hopefully she’ll be revealed as a playable character shortly on the Dojo.

Awsome to hear. We’re very well almost there to glory. But lets not get too exicted just yet.
It seems the site posts a new character every one-and-a-half to two weeks, and a new assist trophy slightly more frequently, so we might not be waiting long to see which one Krystal is, since she’s more or less announced in some context. Here’s hoping she’s playable, ‘cuz that staff could be excellent for juggling people (if Fox’s whirlwind-type attack with it in Adventures is an indicator).

One negative possibility ran through my mind.
What if Ms. Glidewell is lying? What if she was just adding that information to get, well, the kind of reaction you, Mr. Krystal, just had?
I sure hope she’s playable-with a staff in hand. I can’t wait to see what she looks like. XD
I thought about that, Krys, but we won’t know for sure. Certainly, the only reason she would have done that would to promote her site and films, but it’s unlikely because those things are not particularly interesting to the types of people who would be interested to know who is in Brawl. I would like to think she’s beening truthful.

This is something someone could get fired for at worst. This is an unreleased game and nothing about Krystal has been revealed officially as of yet. Many voice actors and people like that generally do not care about a certain job as much as the fans do and sometimes leave a careless leak.
You might want to also mention that Ms. Gladwell’s site links to two things she’s a part of/works for, Mr. Krystal. It at least gives more validity to the subject at hand.

Wow, cool, really. I didn’t expect Krystal to be in Brawl. Maybe only than as a part of a Starfox cutscene or something, which still is my guess. But oh well, time will show.

Mr. Krystal, the info on the actress’s page seems to have changed. It looks like the part that was in there before about her voicing Krystal was removed.
Maybe that means that it’s confirmed and Nintendo asked her to take that part off?

I really don’t consider this to be a “leak”, but the chances of Krystal in Brawl is still extremely high! And I hope that Nintendo isn’t stupid enough to make her into an “Assist Trophy”. >.
