Today marks the second anniversary for this website’s existence online. Do you guys remember the first version of the site?! It was horrible! Now we have an integrated content management system (Wordpress), a podcast, and a whole lot more visitors! Thank you all for your support.

Here’s a copy of the very first post ever made (after the site was online):

Launch Hiccups

January 8, 2006: 5:22 PM
“Made the RSS feed this morning. Then I went into a fit of rage when Internet Explorer didn’t work. It was horrible. I fixed all the basic problems, but for whatever reason, text was appearing and disappearing at almost random. This is called the ‘Peekaboo’ bug. Anyway, once someone told how to fix it, the site became ready to launch. So, I’m uploading as soon as I finish this update entry. I can announce it a few hours early! So, for those of you who are about to see this, welcome! It was a lot of work. Hope you love it.”

And indeed you did love it, though for the first month or so, the site was below most people’s radar. Now, the Krystal Archive goes through over 20 GB per month (22.8 GB for the month of December 2007).

Looking forward to another great year in 2008.
