Just wanted to let you guys know, since several of you have emailed me about this. This image is from an unknown original source, but it most significantly appeared in a GameTrailers.com Player Montage (about 12 seconds in). This image is NOT the final roster of the game. It’s a fake. Like all the fakes I’ve seen before it, it exhibits the classic flaw that can be used as the first step when trying to determine a fake from something real: it uses game art from previous games. The images for Krystal, Wolf, Young Link, Ness, Baby Bowser, Captain Falcon, and Black Shadow at the very least are from previous games.
And Micaiah, Luigi, Ganondorf, Midna, and Jigglypuff.
Totally fake. It would a pretty hot roster, though:

Claus
And of course, my favorite of the bunch, Krystal.
That would be pretty damned hot.
But we won’t know for a few days, at least.

It’s a cool fake, but we all know she is going to be in the game anyway for a variety of reasons.
If she is not released by the 31st, I trust your site to have any information posted on it, lest I get confused with fake information out there.
P.S.- Who’s the dude who looks like Batman below Dedede?
That would be Black Shadow, the evil rival of Captain Falcon from F-Zero. He’s not at all like Batman. He’s very, very bulked up and his costume actually is modeled off a black bull.

The rest of the characters would be 3D not 2D for some of the characters they put on there.(Except for Mr.G&W and Paper Mario they’re Paper;if they even come that is.
While I suppose it’s possible for that roster to be true (meaning those are the playable characters) but like ya said, the image itself is fake.
Wow i hate those types of people who make fake things about the selection screens. When i look around the internet all I see are these type of fake things like Characters that might not be in it. I still hope that krystal comes in brawl. KRYSTAL YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE!!! >.

One of my friends on DA (Sorrow Fox) has a photo taken from the japanese version of the game that includes a robot, ganondorf, falco, and wolf, but no krystal :(
I hate thease darn fakes wish people would stop making them.
I can’t belive Krystal is not in the game…
