In March 2007, Little_Dragon contacted CharleyFox about getting a higher resolution version of his model in order to improve it and prepare it for animation. CharleyFox agreed and they worked on it together for several months. All the while, Little_Dragon posted test renders and animations at a 3D modeling and animation forum, the Krystal Lover’s Association (KLA), and YouTube. Others were invited or volunteered to help test the model. It was greatly improved and many posted their own renders.

Finally, in June 2007, Little_Dragon released the Krystal model, along with various sets of clothes and files helpful in customizing it, to the public in Poser and DAZ|Studio formats. Little_Dragon later released a tail-fur package for those with Poser 5, 6, or 7. Others have created clothes packs, poses, textures, and other things designed for use with the Krystal model.
