CharleyFox’s Model
In June 2003, CharleyFox (sometimes known as FoxHunt) began work on a Krystal model in the 3D suite Animation Master. He posted several pictures of the process and a video of the model on his Krystal Shrine website.
Not much was heard about the model again until 2005, when CharleyFox announced that he had switched to Lightwave as his 3D modeling solution. He revealed that he was making his Krystal model available as an Unreal Tournament model. Before he finished getting it working as a game model, he released a low-polygon version (along with skinning resources) to the Krystal Lovers Association (KLA). Finally, CharleyFox finished the Unreal Tournament version and released it via Skin City. Chrysolithos, also a user at the KLA, began work on making Krystal’s tail render with fur. He also did several poses of Krystal in Star Fox Adventures locales.
In March 2007, Little_Dragon joined the KLA and asked CharleyFox if he could work with a higher resolution version of his model. CharleyFox agreed and together, the two created a very high quality model prepped for animation. There’s another article for that project. CharleyFox/Little_Dragon Coordinated Model
