In Dinosaur Planet, Krystal was one of two playable characters. She was a 16 year old, orphaned, blue cat who had been raised by a wizard named Randorn. Through examination of the “GAMETEXT.bin.txt” file from Star Fox Adventures and the small bits of media released before the project was transformed, the game required the player to switch between Krystal and Sabre to accomplish different (or different parts of) missions at the “Switch Stone” which is now the Warp Stone. Krystal and Sabre could both team up with either Prince Tricky or Princess Kyte (a Cloudrunner). Other than Krystal having equal play time as Sabre and that Andross was not the main enemy, the main events, characters, and locations are the same or very similar to Star Fox Adventures, but with higher resolution 3D models and textures.
