Sting-Chameleon Krystal Cosplay

I got an email this morning from Hanna saying her friend Sting-Chameleon of Sweden had cosplayed as Krystal at UppCon 2011, a Swedish anime and manga convention held annually in Uppsala. The event happened just a few days ago.

The costly features a full-body suit, tight-fitting suit (like Ayano’s) and a molded clay head. She also made a staff to go with it. Great job, Sting!

Kursed at Wal-Mart

Guess who showed up at a Wal-Mart recently? That’s right, our newest Krystal fursuiter: Sumire! (aka NemeraTheHybrid on YouTube). Once again, this is a Kursed cosplay, not the traditional Krystal style. Sumire is also the youngest known Krystal fursuiter, btw, at only 15. Anyway, below is a video I just found of her walking around in a Wal-Mart, having fun, and generally freaking people out. :)

Sumire’s Kursed Cosplay

Sumire sent me two images of herself dressed as Kursed back in January. I only recently got back in contact with her. Hopefully soon she’ll provide us with details of the suit and further plans for it. I don’t know if this suit has been used at a con or anything yet. Either way, this marks the first appearance of Krystal’s third look.

First Ayano Video Up

Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Foxtype1973 sent me the first video of Ayano’s adventures at this year’s Further Confusion. I’ve posted it on YouTube and you can download it with the link below. This video captures the cutest and most touching moments with Krystal. What do you think?

Cosplay Report

Foxtype1973 got back from Further Confusion yesterday. He just got me some photos from his camera, video coming soon. Ayano (and others) arrived safely and fun was had by all, despite a language barrier. I’ve decided to post the ‘gag’ photo of the ones he sent me.

*British Accent* ‘You tried to look up my skirt!’

In other cosplay news, I have two more cosplay pages to make (Krazy Kacophony and Kailah Rattray). In an amazing coincidence, yesterday ToonyCoon contacted me to let me know that he has, for now, abandoned his Krystal fursuit head project, at least until he has finished his Fox costume. He will make the pattern available for others to use however, and will be sending to me for hosting later. Then, TODAY, I got a random email from batgirlga27, who sent me photos of a Kursed fursuit (I’ll upload them later). So… wow! Amazing week (and a half) for cosplay!

Filicia22x’s Cosplay

Filicia22x contacted me a LOOONG time ago about this cosplay work in progress. It’s the one news item that I kept not having time to post, resulting it a very long wait. I’m really sorry for that, Filicia22x!

Anyway, all is fixed now. This is the beginnings of Filicia22x’s Krystal cosplay. It’s going to use the mask pictured below in a kigurumi-style cosplay (like Ayano’s). No progress has been apparently made on this since July, but hopefully that will change soon. This attempt has it’s own page now.

In related news, Foxtype1973 is about to head to Further Confusion to meet up with Ayano, where they plan to do some video shoots, hopefully with some staff-wielding action to be enhanced with Foxtype1973′s video compositing skills. Either way, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Ayano very soon.

Myu Update

We’ve featured Myu before, and since then, she’s updated her costume a bit. However, she’s yet to finish it or wear it to a con. Can’t wait to see it finished. For now, I’ve created a page for her as part of Cosplay Week.

Ken Singshow announced on January 3rd, that Ayano will be attending Further Confusion 2011 this weekend as Krystal once again.

KrazyKacophony’s Krystal Cosplay

KrazyKacophony sent me info on her Krystal fursuit WIP a while back, and now I can finally post it! The suit will be based around a papercraft model Krystal head with a blue-hair wig. She’s still working on the suit itself, which will be a zentai suit like Ayano’s. The face mask will eventually be covered with fur fabric to smooth out the polygonal surface. I’ll put more images of the construction and information about it in her page once I get around to making it. Meanwhile, here’s some images and a video showing her wear it.
