First, some good news: I finished a new chapter of my fanfic! Some of you will be really, really excited about this, and some of you will not care. For those of you who care, I hope you enjoy! I hope to finish this thing soon so we can all have the satisfaction of the complete story. For those of you who DON’T care, good news for you too: I’m planning to finish this fic soon, and forever put down my fanfic-ing pen… With one more project out of the way, I’m left with more time for updates and such!

Secondly, I’ve been working on new fanart tools. These are things of beauty! Seriously! I’m redesigning the whole system to work as online tools that can be hosted here on the Krystal Archive. That means anyone, anywhere, anytime, can help me with art, no programming skills required. Having my job as an online video game programmer has really helped in this area. I’ll let you know when I have something to show. Fanart updates will finally return.

Thirdly, that leads into my other fan work operations: fanfictions and fanfilms. I need to make a few tools to help you help me get them submitted to the site. With the burden off of me for fan-works, I’ll have more time for…

I’m planning a new Krystal Archive. Version 4 to be exact. I’ve already got the design (simpler, more effective for what you want to see) and it features some amazing imagery from a rising star in the Krystal community, Greyfirefox. The new version of the site will take a ton of work, so it may be a while. What will hopefully be a lot sooner, though, is…

I need to do a podcast! It’s been many months and there is a lot to talk about. Further, I’ve been wondering about doing a live show this time. What do you guys think? Would you be interested in calling in to a show that was streaming live? It could even be a video podcast if I can find a quiet place with high(er) speed internet. What do you think? New Features

• Favorites are indicated with a star icon, for those of you too busy to look through all the links
• Warnings only show up if you want to see them, just hover over their icon
• Standardized warnings to give you a more consistent idea of what to expect
• Colored borders are used to differentiate DeviantArt links from FurAffinity links, and so on
• The “NEW!” fanart text has been replaced by a subtle shade of pink

Later, with the help of some volunteers, we’ll get the tranditional art seperated from the 3D rendered art, because you demanded it. Also, when I get it working, there won’t be any favorites yet picked, because I haven’t yet gone through them to add that data. That’s something I’ll do on my own time later.

Unfortunately, I can’t finish the update without breaking things on the site, so for a few hours to a couple days, the fanart lists may or may not be working.

Updates
5PM – The missing list has been updated to the new format, if you want to have a look.
8PM – The hosted page has been updated, the “unlisted” list page has been deleted (most of the content is now gone), I created a new page for the eventual list of rendered fanarts, and I created a page explaining the new standardized warnings. I’m now working on the script that will turn the main fanart list into the pages you see in the main list. This takes longer than the other lists because of the sheer number of fanarts there. I’ve done it before though, so it shouldn’t take too long.
12:40AM(next day) – Done! The main list has been updated to the new style. I also added a few favorites in there, so you can see the feature. It’ll be a while before I can add a bunch of them.
