Just received this morning, the long anticipated Adventures Krystal model by Gadonstriom has now been released! You can download it here.

This is a render I did in a couple minutes this morning via Blender.

Krystal Brawl Texture Hack

The inevitable has finally happened! Those crazy dedicated Brawl texture hackers have created a Krystal texture. It was done by ZeonDude, who says he will be working on the modifying the vertices of the Fox model over which the Krystal texture is made to make the body shape itself look like Krystal. Krystal #10 in “Babes Who Are Out Of Your League”

Wow, this is old news, but I JUST heard about it. Krystal was ranked #10 in the “Top Ten Babes Who Are Out Of Your League” by GT Countdown. Unlike the list back in September, GT Countdown actually has their facts correct in this one.

Massive New Version of Official Render

Malroth just emailed me out of the blue to tell me he had an official render of Krystal that was higher quality than one I had. This is hard to believe because I’ve been all over the net looking for these and even own a Press CD for Assault. Nevertheless, he was right and it is MASSIVE. Take a look below. The image is at full size, but cropped to fit here. Compare to the bottom corner, the previous largest version known. The full image is 5.3 MB and has a resolution of 2894 by 4093 pixels!

Krystal in Top Ten…

Krystal in Top Ten of “Ladies in Leather” by GameDaily. Nice to finally see Krystal acknowledged in a list of video game women (previously restricted to humans, or human-like species). The problem is that almost everything they say about Krystal is wrong. Oh well, I’ll take what I can get.

Krystal Code In Active Experimentation

For the first time, someone other than the original poster of the code has gotten the “Replace Fox with Krystal” code to work, and explained in detail his process. GammaRay256 explained his technique in a post on Starfox-Online. He’s asking for other’s help in figuring out more about the code.

Krystal Is Once Again Without A Last Name

I found this out a while back, but I never got around to posting it. Z!FF, from Starfox-Online mentioned that he had the French Star Fox Adventures and he had never heard of the whole “Buranetto” name. So I guess that means that we have no idea where that name came from.

Further, I sent Nintendo an email about Krystal’s last name, and they replied with this:

I’m afraid we don’t have an answer to your question about Krystal in Star Fox. However, Nintendo excels at making sure our fans can get back story information, character descriptions, and–most importantly–the information they require to complete the games that we publish. This can happen through our website (www.nintendo.com), Player’s Guides, and Nintendo Power magazine.

Having said that, many details about our games will remain mysteries, left to the active imagination of the player.

Remaining Krystal Sprites Uploaded

Nysut has taken it upon himself to finish up the work of getting the rest of the sprites from Star Fox Command. He will be releasing pretty much all the sprites in the game soon via the Spriter’s Resource (and probably SFO). He sent the Krystal ones ahead of time, since I was the one offering the $50 bounty. I’ve now uploaded the remainder of the Krystal-related sprites that are known to be in Star Fox Command to their sprite page.

Two bounties down, two more to go.

Krystal vs Krystal 2!

Well, he’s done it again! jrose0555 has posted a new video after switching Fox for Krystal in Star Fox Adventures. I’ve already attempted to contact him again with details on how he did it. If I can get a definitive answer, I’ll try making my own video. If it works, he’s getting a $50 check in the mail (one of my bounties). In this one, he has Krystal meet herself for the first time. Similar to the last video, we can see some small glitches in the form of Krystal’s eyes not working correctly, and she appears bigger than Fox should be.
