Yet another cosplay of Krystal appeared at Further Confusion 2010 (which is still going on). Kat the Leopardess sent me a link to this image on lynard’s FurAffinity page. I don’t know if lynard is the wearer or just the photographer, but since the show is still going on, we’ll probably see more images, and possibly videos, later. If you find out any info, as always, please let me know!

As you can see, this suit uses skin-tight thick cloth with different colored fabric to represent fur patterns (and the tattoos!). A hard plastic facial mask and wig make up the head. The wearer has a very realistic staff, but the suit appears to be missing the tail entirely.

Updates
As indicated in the comments, Rabbit in the Moon told me that the cosplayer is of Japanese origin, and Ayano (spelling?) is her name. Ayano has been to several previous furry conventions, wearing such costumes as Mithra and Renamon. Also, though you can’t see it, there is apparently a tail on this costume! <3

New picture from Shep! Krystal finally enjoys her sandwich.

(Thanks Richard L!)

(I have a lot of other pictures and some video to show, but I will save that for tomorrow.)

I’ve updated both the traditional and rendered lists. I’ve removed missing fanarts (especially those from FA, since it turns out my 404 detector doesn’t work with FA). I’ve transferred those fanarts I found to be in the wrong list into the appropriate list. I corrected a couple errors here and there. I’ve also gone through all art up to and including Black_Berry (so far) in order to: add favs, remove “non-art” as I define it, added additional warnings where appropriate, and removed fanart that on second consideration are not in line with the KA’s policy against mature imagery.

What do you take away from this? Well for now, you can find my favorites for most of the first page of the traditional list are up to date.

Tomorrow, I plan to finish the script for sorting fanart (it’s more complicated than just using a normal sort function). With that done, I can finally integrate the new fanart posted recently. I can also update the missing fanart page with the fanarts I removed tonight. Wish me luck. Otherwise, I’ll probably go through around 1 page’s worth per day, adding favs and all that. Then it shall be DONE! Never again will I have to go through every single fanart manually.

(To those of you who don’t care about the fanart updates, sorry, there will be just a few more of them, and then we can move to other news, ok?)

Update:
Scripts finished.
README for everything finished.
Integrated latest update into the lists.
Finished the fav/checking process for the fanarts on page 2 (just 6 more to go)

Final Update
All favorites/warnings/mods complete on all lists.
There should be no more fanart updates until I add new fanart (probably a few weeks).
…
I am so tired at looking at fanart!

After spending my evenings for the last couple days clicking links, I’ve gotten the traditional and rendered art completely separated.

I might have missed something (I’m only human). If you see something in the wrong list, please let me know.

I plan on going back through the lists once more and correcting a couple things. I’m going to remove all photoshop art (taking and modifying official renders), photoshopped icons, screens from mods featuring Krystal, and the few cases I detected where I mistook another character for Krystal. Also, many fanarts went missing since I last checked in December. Fortunately, I can automate that process.

Oh! And I still have to standardize the warnings and add my favorites. So much to do!

Finally, though I have added the new rendered fanart (posted a couple days ago) into the rendered list, I haven’t yet done the same for the new traditional art. This is because I haven’t yet the integration script, which itself requires a specialized sorting script. Once those two major functions are done, the process of doing fanart will be about as automated as it can be.
