Krystal Mii Tutorial for Switch
YouTube user Captain Frezhor has posted a video showing how to make a Krystal-like Mii for the Nintendo Switch. The Mii is similar to what one could make for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U. Try it out if you want to have a Krystal-looking character in your game of Miitopia or for your own profile.

ahhh the nose needs to be smaller.
Ah, I don’t know why, but though the person must have worked their butt off on this, it’s throwing me waaaay off. ^^;
To me, she looks slightly miscolored, blue-wise (especially the hair, though one could argue that her hair was nearly as bright in Starfox Adventures), and between any blues provided by the mii maker, it would seem another blue would be the better choice.
The makeshift ears, the very same sunglasses trick I use on my miis, appear much too small… Unless, of course, they intended for them to be seen as “starting from directly above her eyes”, which quite apparently fails to register in my head.
And while we are on the subject of in-head “registration failures” or misinterpretations, might I point out that the face wrinkles option, while intended to cast a muzzle-like illusion, never does the trick. It just kind of makes the wrinkles in themselves pop and not the other way around.
Now, the nose… Obviously wolf-sized and not fox-sized. I’m not sure what this person was even thinking when making the nose. In fact, I don’t even think it’s shaped enough like an animal’s nose at all (which appears to be the approach here).
Krystal’s eyes also don’t appear to reflect her personality enough or match her facial appearance in the games best-possible either, and there are certainly better eye choices that (if altered enough) suit that.
All in all, they did a decent job, but it could have used quite some work.
Not bad by any means, but I made a version of Krystal myself that I based somewhat off of a Mii version that I saw of Florence Ambrose, an anthropomorphic wolf from the webcomic “Freefall.”
Here’s how I made mine:
1. For the ears, I used the eyebrows. Choose the type in the second row, last one on the right. Rotate and move them to the top of her head and color them blue (the blue I used was found in Row 4, Column 4).
2. For the hair, I used the last option in the fourth row on Page 3 of the hairstyles, and colored it blue as well (the blue I used for that was Row 4, Column 2).
3. For the mouth I used the nose. I used the second from the left option in the first row (the one that kind of looks like a Mario nose).
4. For the nose, I used the mouth. The mouth I used was in the second to last option in the second row. I did a bit of resizing and moved it on top of the nose that I used for the mouth.
5. For the fangs, I used a mustache: the first option in the second row. A little bit of resizing and repositioning it under the nose that I used for the mouth makes it look like fangs.
6. To make it look like her face was a muzzle, I added wrinkles to the face: the second from right option in the first row.
I didn’t think to do her eyes (I just used the default female eyes), so I am going to try using Captain Frezhor’s design for her eyes somewhat. I’m also going to try to find a way to put in her headband (as long as it doesn’t use any of the elements I already used).
