Time for the final stretch, as well as reflection. Did we all put in an honest effort? Are we all truthful about our ballot usage? Do any of us get doubts? If so do you give in or do you shake it off? Only time will tell if we did anything worth while. Not to scare anyone but it’s something we should consider. With the ballot slowly dying, so must flame wars on all ballot choices. Now is the time to reflect on what we did, and what we still could do…
@earth_being, Is this Smash Bros or Armageddon? She’s got to be at least in the top 3. She’ll get in. The only thing holding her back at this point would be a fear or more pr0n or something. Let’s be real here, 5 minutes on Fur Affinity and you’ll see her with everyone from Falco Lombardi to John F Kennedy. Maybe they don’t want anymore… Although they probably wouldn’t make any less. She’ll get in… Hell they are making a new Star Fox after all.
Should we post this to things like gaming groups on facebook-n-stuff =p.

Truthfully I hate this whole ballot thing regarding both Wolf and Krystal. Both should be in the game already. We shouldn’t need to vote for them and pay to have them in the game. It would have saved us all a lot of trouble. We are where we are. Let’s hope we get something good out of all this. No one wants a huge army of disappointed and annoyed fans.

After 2 years of waiting to hear about Krystal being in Smash Bros, Nintendo has been pulling the Troll string to mess with me and make me angry with lack of Krystal, the Star Fox female fan favorite. I have been waiting months after months, only to get trolled and angry at Nintendo. Even Star Fox Zero at E3 caused me that Nintendo pulled the troll string on Krystal, just why Nintendo? So now with the ballot result, Nintendo better give Krystal the spot in Smash or they are going to get an angry crowd of Krystal fans.

Let’s be realistic here. Nintendo has far more important things to do than intentionally antagonize a small subset of their fans. As popular as Krystal is, I doubt they’re even aware of this site’s existence, let alone you personally. They’re a multi-billion dollar company with some of the most valuable character IP (Mario is better recognized than Mickey Mouse), as well as one of the largest unique character libraries of any company (over a dozen long-running universes, each with a huge group of unique characters).
You are attributing their indifference to malice.

I’m staying out of this for the most part. This is only a ballot for fictional characters. It’s not like global warming, injustice, war or politics. I’ll occasionally check here, but I’ll take a small vacation to other issues. Mainly because I’m porposly lowering my expectations. That way I hopefully won’t get to excited or disappointed at the end of this ballot stuff. I’ve done my part. I’ve voted, bloated my Miiverse accounts with pro-krystal posts, signed a petition older than the ballot itself, made alliances with Dansweeto and the sweeto army made a 15 pointed list on Google+ and joined here. So I think I’ve done at least something :)

I don’t know if you are aware of this (I’m sure you are), but I am trying to defend Krystal from being forgotten. She’s one of my childhood characters in the video games that I grew up with.

That’s fine. But don’t accuse Nintendo of antagonizing you just because they haven’t (yet) fulfilled your demands.
I voted since the day it started, one for Joanna dark (unlikely she’ll be in, damn you micro$oft) and krystal.
I have voted multiple times as well…using proxies so they hopefully won’t know it was me. I’ll share this on my Facebook later to try and drum up support there too. Even if they do pick Krystal, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes them 6+ months to include her in the game.

Been doing some Krystal advertising for the last hour XD. I think I found some extra votes ^_^ =p. Every little bit helps. But now my back is killing me from being hunched over the drawing pad of the wii U lol. Now for my facebook game pages to get some Krystal =D gettin some shit done!!! (gettin: translation: getting but no “g” cause i’m in the country =p)

We only got 2 days left to vote. We got to make sure ALL Krystal fans have voted. WE MUST GIVE IT ALL WE GOT. The post about when someone talked to Sakurai why Krystal wasn’t playable in Super Smash Bros Brawl and he says we didn’t have any modeling knowledge doesn’t make sense. If they were able to design Krystal as trophy, it would not have been that hard to design Krystal as a fighter. I think Sakurai just doesn’t want to admit that he doesn’t care about krystal like Nintendo does and some of us know that, and he says Wolf is very popular, but what about Krystal, she is pretty popular. Mr. Krystal we know you made Krystal Archive for a reason, it’s because you know Krystal has a HUGE fanbase. Because Wolf was playable in Brawl, that does give him an advantage. I think Krystal is the only one that is female that is one of the most requested characters and Nintendo has to at least give her credit for that. That one comment I got a little too carried away about an update on change.org when Joseph Turner said they haven’t started development on any new DLC characters and it only destroys all hope and melts optimism. That’s what got me upset and think that the Smash Bros Ballot is a joke, Nintendo is not listening, and think that there is now no hope for Krystal to become DLC for this Super Smash Bros. Mr. krystal if you say I shouldn’t feel hopeless and trying to tell me there is maybe still hope that’s fine, it helps me feel a little bit better. Let’s hope Krystal makes at least the top 10 and Nintendo announces they will start development on Krystal in a few weeks!
Final day is here. While we can try to get others votes in, I thing there’s nothing else to do but see what happens tomorrow ;) crossing my fingers.

There’s no reason to believe they’ll reveal anything tomorrow. It could be months before we hear the results, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.
Also, this morning, some decoders found that the recent game update patch contains spots for 3 characters and 2 to 3 levels, but they don’t know which yet.

Yah, I agree. I just assume they’ll say something tomorrow. If not ill just stare at a wall and reflect for a while :P. And yah I saw the three characters thing this morning. I was expecting something similar and agree that 3 sounds like a solid number. It was 4 stages that they found but that’s assuming the omega versions too. So 2 more stages it seems.

Instead of just sitting around, why not take your free time and use it to accomplish your goals? Krystal not in the game yet, why not take a little time and figure out how to take one of the models of Krystal on this site and use her in your own playable game? I mean, it’d be fun to learn, wouldn’t it? Don’t just sit there waiting for other people to entertain and delight you. Entertain and delight yourself!
XD genius. I’ve tried moving one to blender, and with enough work I could get a model in there. I am in my first year of college now as a running start student and after this year I might be able to get my first programming class :D then maybe some rigging and coding of the model. I want to do programming as my job and character creation (like those Krystal models as a hobby ^_^ then I can male my own mods some day for other game. Or my own. So give me a few years then ill entertain my self and hopefully others :D

Those files have 3 empty slots all called “Mario” somebody told me sakurai has 3 pre-ballot characters before he starts the real ballot winners. Apparently he might of been right. Sakurai already said he has no planned characters, but he also tends to change his words. A LOT. so I seriously don’t know if this is true, so I’m going to leave this alone…

It’s the 4th. Smash ballot is over. Now we sit and wait. Seems like sakurai I going to have us sit in suspense. O well :P
It doesn’t surprise me that there hasn’t been an announcement straight away. For starters it is the weekend and also I doubt they would announce the ballot winners and leave it at that. I think we will get details on 3 DLC characters and stages followed by ballot results and then the winners of the ballot. Depending on the 3 upcoming DLC characters we could have some interesting ballot winners.
I don’t see Krystal winning the ballot however my crazy theory is that she is going to be added to Smash. If we assume part of the reason for Zero’s delay might have been Smash and upcoming Amiibo Krystal is the only candidate for that. Star Wolf is in the game already so there wouldn’t be a reason to delay the game to add Wolf in. Krystal is only other popular Star Fox choice. Obviously needs more work to include her in the game in some form. Part of the reasoning I got to this was that Nintendo has updated gameplay in games via downloadable udpates and with this years remaining release schedule it would have made more sense to update gameplay that way. The fact they are still showing off the E3 demo makes the delay reasoning of just for gameplay reasons a little odd. Of course part of me realises that I might be over thinking things.

You forget wolf was a last minute lucky inclusion. So it would take a huge maricle for him to return, if he even is. As for Krystal, her chances are still good, but not confirmation worthy. Remember that sakurai acknowledges she’d be 100% unique from all other star fox characters? He didn’t say she’s a shoe in, but he has an idea on how she’d play.
What’s the name of the picture? Also, if I may confess, I don’t recall if I voted earlier. If I did then at least I got my voice in. But I’m ashamed to say I believe I didn’t vote. Sorry guys. I still hope Krystal wins.

I don’t know if it has a title, but it was a picture of Krystal by an artist named ‘Pey’. Nothing is known about this artist, who disappeared many years ago after putting out a very small number of art pieces.
Well he or she is a very good artist :D.

Speaking of making games for Krystal, there are quite a few game engines around that could help. Do you mind if I list them along with the programs used to animate sprites. I’ve been studying game design for almost a year now and thought that I wanted to share some knowledge.

Thanks, here’s the list. These game engines don’t need any programming knowledge to use. But it does require some time to get use too.
1. Construct 2 – This game engine is amazing and easy to use. Plus the graphics you can make with it are astounding. Also, there is a free version.
2. GameMaker Studio – This also requires no programming knowledge to use, but if you wish you can do so in this game engine.
3. RPG Maker VXAce – This game engine has everything ready and waiting for, from character creation to map building. If you wish to use programming you can.
These Game engines can be bought on Steam.
Now for animating your sprites and creating texture, here is the list:
1. Spriter Pro – A very powerful animating tool that takes your art or sprites and animates with bones. You can by this on Steam.
2. Sprite Lamp – A sprite texture tool which helps you to develop your sprites with lighting effects, giving you a 3d look to your sprites. Available on Steam.
3.AutoTileGen – This is also a sprite texture tool which helps to create 2d platforms. It can export your creations to Unity3d, GameMaker Studio and Construct 2. Available on Steam.

Oh yes, thanks for putting that part in. Right now I’m in some serious study but when that’s finished I’ll get some games made for Krystal. Probably will be a Visual Novel or an adventure game. Don’t know yet but when the time comes I’ll let you know.
