Ug… Zero’s acting is even more stupid and annoying then ever before. When the next game comes out, I better see the Assault cast back at the spot along with new talent for characters like Katt and Bill. Zero’s story needs to die. Why, it’s the 2nd rehash of N64 since N64 3DS, and honestly I want more Assault, not N64. Come on Nintendo, you should know better then this.
@StarDog Smasher
Know better than what? Star Fox 64 was both more successful, more loved, and more critically acclaimed by far than Assault. If they’re going to operate off of an existing store timeframe, taking cues from Star Fox 64 over Assault makes perfect sense.
Of course, I would rather have something completely new in terms of story myself. But I’d much rather have a Star Fox 64 story rehash than a Star Fox Assault story rehash. Besides, we don’t even know the full extent of the story yet, other than it’s similar to Star Fox 64, and the main villain is Andross.
@Mr. Krystal
Well, I am fully aware the N64 game is successful and beloved by fans, but I can’t say the same. I grew up with Adventures and Assault and thing they’re better then the N64 game. No offense if I get you mad, but I’m sorry there’s nothing spectacular about the N64 game after checking it out years later after the release of SSBB. Again, I’m aware it’s a first game with voice acting, but’s its too cheesy for my taste. Andross officially dies in Adventures and came back as a ghost in Command, so he’s no longer the official main villain in the timeline.
@Mr. Krystal @StarDog Smasher
Nostalgia is an amazing thing. First game that gets you into a series you come to love is obviously going to be a game you care more about. I love Star Fox games in a more equal way. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I have come to appreciate and love that aspect of the series. I don’t think there is truly a best Star Fox game however there is almost a Star Fox game for every gaming mood you could have. For me that is the series strength and I would love to see that continue.
So it’s just 64 all over again. Well now I’m just depressed I excepted so much more then just another remake of a past remake.
I can’t get my hopes up to much, but I hope they announce and online dogfight mode =].
What we need is a cast of A listers.
Tom Cruise as Fox
Sylvester Stallone as Falco
Gene Wilder as Peppy
Katt Williams as Slippy
Vin Diesel as Wolf
Harvey Firestein as Leon
and Pierce Brosnan as Panther
@AngelFoxDreamer
Yes, I can see where you’re going and nostalgia can be nice ever once in a while. But I didn’t grew up with N64, I grew up with Adventures and Assault (they need more love).
@Zane Gate
You’re not the only 1. I was expecting so much more like a sequel game to Assault. But this, this is just filler for the fan boys of the N64 days, at least I think. 3DS is fine for a remake, but no more remakes of N64 please Nintendo.
@Happylion18
Well you’re not the only 1, considering this game is somewhat doomed from the start as another rehash of N64. (if that’s what you’re getting at) Or is it the gameplay?
@TheFalcon
You forgot about Krystal, and some other characters on this a list actors of yours.
It seems someone has asked about Krystal and other characters to Miyomoto. I would add that because it wasn’t just about Krystal it is a more generalised response. Can see it here: https://youtu.be/WT9vXXgGcsA?t=4m48s
@StarDog Smasher
That was the point I was trying to make. You will always have fond memories of a game that gets you into a series. I wasn’t meaning any specific Star Fox game.
I don’t belive it you guys are belly aching over the fact that krystals not in it didn’t you forget that this is the first starfox in what 10 to 5 years, its luck we’re geting a starfox game at all, be happy for the new install ment, and if it gose well we’ll get krystal in a sequal so shut up and take what we got.
I for one am hyped for zero and if they plan to have a sequal including krystal and go ahead with it well…
Wow, they really upped the game since E3… like ALOT! I’m loving the better textures and lighting, makes the game seem so much more vivid :D.
I know i’m saying a lot here, but I can’t wait for the next game that comes after this xD (Adventures remake? I honestly wouldn’t mind such a thing… better graphics, updated gameplay, more gameplay mechanics implemented, more story added for longevity, etc etc)
@Kevin
Mhhhh yes, a Adventures remake XD. Still to this day I find Adventures graphics to be INCREDIBLE. I have a friend over today, and of all the games we played of my classics collection, Adventures still stands well in graphics even today… well in my opinion =] but im also biased XD so I don’t get a say
@StarDog Smasher
Didn’t forget about Krystal, she’s not in this game. Also I’m just going for the major roles. However for Andross I think Samuel L Jackson would be a good choice.
“I’m tired of this muthaf***ing fox all up in my muthaf***ing business!”
I do believe it, but I don’t want to. I have just spoiled the stories of Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault, and Star Fox Command, (almost falling in love with Krystal along the way) just to find out that the next game is kinda a remix of the Wii N64 game I already have? I think I’ll get it just for the fun of it and it looks way beater.
Remakes are good but 4 times is over doing it and well I’m considering selling my Wii u now too pay for dark souls 3.
As a series fan I intend to get Zero. This is a Star Fox game so I won’t say no to it even if it is fourth version of the first game. I would be more excited about it if it was a new game and had Krystal as member of Star Fox team. Still excited for it though.
@Kevin @Happylion18
I would love an Adventures HD remake. Not sure I would want them to mess with the game too much though. However I would love to see Monolith Soft develop a Star Fox Adventures game. Maybe not remake but a new Adventures game.
Could you imagine? Star Fox Adventures taking a new turn on the story (maybe Krystal is a lot less of a damsel in distress, or even completely cut out, who knows) and developed my Monolith??? That is what dreams are made of!
I’d like to see a zero style adventures game, completely over haled with enhanced graphics realistic textures, and the arwing walker, maybe make sauria a sand box enviroment, don’t forget the amiibo support.
@N J FOX
I’d be for that too! Maybe a deeper story, more Arwing game play, Krystal redesign (some thing like Event Horizon’s “War Paint Krystal”, I’m not a fan of loin clothes), 50-50 or close to Fox and Krystal’s story roles, and a beater personality for Fox.
I don’t mind krystals amazonise outfit although a zero style design couldn’t hurt my home made krystal has resontly been updated I did my best to make it resemble zero style.
I agree about Fox he’s to impatiant and money obsested.
I think in Adventures some people misunderstood what Fox was meaning when he complained about the money. He always jumps in to help the Saurians and after that he brings up the money aspect. Even then it’s not until later in the game. If he was truly greedy he would have done the reverse. He’s just complaining to himself for being gullible and kind hearted. The best example of this is the baby Lightfoot. He didn’t need to stop and help the little guy and if he didn’t he wouldn’t have gotten captured. But he choose to stop and help the baby Lightfoot. Thinking about it it’s a pretty good description of Fox’s adventures on Sauria. XD
I would love an Adventures game done more in style of Xenobalde Chronicles X. A huge open world to fully explore. Can freely ride vehicles or fly around the planet. You also could form a party so it wouldn’t just be Fox. Could still add in on rails segments for missions as well. Could be like in Adventures where it’s not just on Star Fox vehicles too. I would hate to see Adventures lose the adventuring element. That would make it another game entirely.
Well I have something to say about this. I don’t mind at all WHY? Cause we’re getting two Star Fox games! That is good enough for me. THANK YOU NINTENDO!!!! To commemorate I’ll put a link to my latest re-arrangements. Of course it’s the same one I did before. But I changed it completely here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMoX2fTGpmE
@all
By the way did you all see the interview Miyamoto did with the Game Theorist, The Completionist, and TheJWittz. They all interviewed Mr. Miyamoto about Star Fox Zero.
I’ll have the links here:

@LucasJG1994
I saw the interview by The JWittz. He did bring up Krystal a few times in the conversation, but Miyamoto just dismissed her. Ether he is saving secrets for the next game, he just not wants to talk about her, or she is no longer a cannon Star Fox Character. (like Fara…) =;(
The one I watched it seemed to come across as a more generalised response for all characters not yet announced or not in Zero. Basically Zero was developed with SF64 in mind. No mention about the future of Krystal or potential updates for Zero. With the amount of comments that I have been in support of Krystal I find it hard to believe she would be dismissed from series entirely. I have read elsewhere she is still one of the more wanted characters to be in Smash bros. Maybe one of the reasons Miyamoto isn’t really saying anything is because of her populairty. One developer has shown interest in her return for the next game.
If you are that worried that she might be removed from series you should really tell Nintendo. Plenty of social media sites that gives the option to do so.
@codym512s
Well he did say that he wanted to keep the game’s idea around Star Fox 64. So I think he wasn’t dismissing her but rather saying “Since we’re focusing on Star Fox 64 let’s keep it that way.” So Krystal will be considered for a sequel Star Fox Zero game.
@codym512s
“Ether he is saving secrets for the next game, he just not wants to talk about her, or she is no longer a cannon Star Fox Character.”
OR he is being secretive, like Nintendo always is. If we assumed Nintendo was going to do things based on what they DON’T say, you’d have to conclude that they are doing a whole bunch of ridiculous things they aren’t talking about.
@AngelFoxDreamer
“With the amount of comments that I have been in support of Krystal I find it hard to believe she would be dismissed from series entirely.”
I honestly don’t think that’s a legitimate fear. Nintendo has never removed a game character from any series that I can find. The fact that Nintendo doesn’t talk about Krystal every Tuesday is not to say that they don’t like Krystal or that they do. It’s just not something they talk about often, and that’s probably all there is to it. Nintendo also doesn’t talk about who’s going to be the next President of the United States, even though that will have literally millions of times more impact on their business than anything about Krystal.
@Mr. K
So I’m think I’ll hope for the best and “he is saving secrets for the next game”-Me, he just doesn’t want to talk about her because of SPOILERS! =:) We may see her some time, not now, not Tuesday, and maybe not next month, but I’ll be here.
@Mr. Krystal
I think most of the fear comes from those that are demanding Krystal gets removed from series. There is a fear Nintendo would listen to those demanding her to be removed. I agree it is very unlikely. Showing support for her will help though. Specially if we want her to still be a main character and a member of the team.
@All
I think that Nintendo might tell something about Krystal on April Fools, (make your own assumptions). But honesty, I don’t think that is a good idea to add her in the game, it might hurt someones, but she doesn’t has a spot in the SF64 story (is not her era and I don’t want to rush her because the fans want her).
A multiplayer only secret character (or a cameo appearance in the game) will be more suitable since we want proof that Nintendo didn’t ditch her.
And then, with a little character development (I don’t want to be a damsel in distress again) she can make a dynamic return on a sequel!!!
Plus, we haven’t got a Starfox game in ten years!!! Nintendo is trying to revive the franchise and get the fans back, also we getting two games, sweet!!!. So don’t whine about adding Krystal because they don’t want to delay the game again.
Plus, when everyone says that he wants Krystal in, he must have a solid reason or scenario that suits the game (because they’re someones, but not all that want poor Krystal to fulfil their greedy needs, ehhhh!!! I don’t want to think or talk about it).
And finally, if we are talking about adding Krystal in a game, she should be in smash brothers, I want her in 100% in smash 4 or on the NX because as we all know it, she will be a very unique and powerful fighter… (I could talk for hours but I don’t want to kill you from boredom :P If you’re still alive, here, take a cookie).
I don’t want this to come across as being mean or anything like that… I just generally find it strange and a little confusing. I can’t help but notice the comments about how we shouldn’t be asking about Krystal to be in Zero now. This would make sense if I saw a lot of recent comments asking for Krystal to be in Zero. I know many have expressed disappointment about Krystal not being in Zero and asked for her to return to the series. Some of those have expressed hope for references about her to be in Zero and for an update that adds multiplayer with Krystal as a character choice.
And yes Krystal could have been in Zero. Zero isn’t based on same universe so she could have easily been a member of the team at the start. As the game is a reintroduction to the series it makes sense to include the main female pilot of the team from the start. That way new fans would immediately associate her with the Star Fox team and get to know the team as a whole. The age only applies once they add Krystal to the Zero universe. Another way to look at that is if there is a Zero 2 it should have Krystal in it and that game could easily take place a year after Zero. Assuming she will be a pilot she will be older in Zero’s universe anyway so it doesn’t make sense age wise to not have included her. However we just don’t know what the format of future Star Fox games will be at this point. So it’s just a missed opportunity. While I find it disappointing I am also looking forward to Zero.
@AngelFoxDreamer
Don’t forget Star Fox Zero is centered around the timeline Star Fox 64. Krystal is 11 years old. It wouldn’t be right to put a young child in the midst of war. Nintendo has to be careful concerning what message they’re sending. Otherwise controversy would break out. We would not feel happy if Krystal was the cause of that. All we can do is hope that Mr. Miyamoto makes a sequel to Star Fox Zero and put Krystal in it.
@All
Now speaking of Krystal being 11:
Although Mr. Miyamoto says that Starfox zero is a “reimagination” of Starfox 64, I came up with a theory :
You know that we have the lylat wars on 3 different versions (SNES, N64,WiiU. 3DS is the same with N64) and we have on all games different paths with different possible endings (expept adventures and assault), through space-time warps( WiiU trailer) and given the fact that in Starfox command, you get the “key of destiny”, I came with the following conclusion:
You, as the player is the ” puppetier” controlling the fate of Fox and his company, since you control them and choosing their paths, using the powers of the space-time continuum.
And you are using the untill you lost control (because of inexperience or multiple changes) causing a rip and resets the universe on the lylat wars where you first aqquired them but is not the same. That explains why star Wolf is on the on the N64 and not on the SNES and the disappearance of May and Fay(and the other sf2 cast), and the fact you can’t select paths on the game cube era games(you lose it, but not rip in universe, but you can still control them) and getting the ability back on command (with the key as a bypass) AND the appearance of the Walker on the WiiU.
*Takes deep breath…
So in conclusion we might get Krystal back as an adult or she might be somewhere on the universe of unknown age (use your imagination and figure it out) or, (and I don’t hope) completely vanished from existence!!! Plus we might have a different timeline each time we see the lylat wars differently!!!
Phew!!! That was a mouth full to say, but that’s a theory, a game theory, thanks for reading.
@LucasJG1994
I really liked your rearrangement of your song, I tried to do my own but it wasn’t really good.
@Jimaki
Thanks. Let me hear yours too.
About your theory about the time warps. I like it, in fact I think Nintendo could use this as their story plot to mix things up and bring back all the characters, including Fara who was in the comics. Plus, if they go with this theory, they won’t have to worry about age differences at all.
@LucasJG1994
I just added some arpeggios on the song but I also had the idea of adding some chords as you did, but adding a lot on a song can make it sound terrible, but if you want I can mail it to you.
Also about the theory, I like the fact that this makes command canon and I like the game, is not my favorite but is the first Starfox game I ever heard. Plus, imagine if we post it on Reddit and people agreed with it.
@LucasJG1994
Sorry my wording may be off. I already mentioned the reason why her age in previous Star Fox games doesn’t matter to Zero. To put it simply as Zero is a re-imagined version of Star Fox 64 so Krystal’s age can also be re-imagined. This could still very well happen if there is a Zero 2 or even Adventures Zero. Until she appears within the Zero universe or Nintendo makes a comment we don’t know what her age is in Zero. At this point it’s too late to alter her story appearance within Zero whether she is in it in some form like a mention or not. We might be waiting for an update or next game to find out her age within Zero’s universe.
@Jimaki
Reading that has reminded me of older interviews regarding possibility of Command 2. Imagine if Zero is actually Command 2 and the whole Star Fox 64 part is basically one huge cover up for the real story. A Time War with the Angler Empire spanning three generations of the Star Fox team. Unlikely but would amusing if it was the case. Got to laugh at ones own stupidity. XD
@Jimaki
Sure my email is lgaraway@yahoo.com
@AngelFoxDreamer
So true, after all Zero has the aparoids in the game i think. So Since Zero has enemies from the Assault series they can just re-imagine Krystal’s age. I think it would be cool if she came back through time to save Lylat and she tells Fox “We’ll meet again in the future” or something like that.
@Jimaki
That’s a good idea. Let’s post it on reddit and see what happens.
Gimme a day to improve my arrangement (I’ll attach the original too).
If we gonna post this on Reddit, we need to improve the theory, the data is really given raw. We need to make a better report with some proof (text or gameplay), so we can make a little project. Everybody could help

Ok sounds good.
@All
(Reaction face) 0_0 WOW! I thought for a while that the years the games came out was a thing. If Star Fox 64 really took place in 1997, the five years ago that James McCoud went missing would be 1993, the year of the first Star Fox game. In 2001 a Star Fox manga comic was made called Farewell Beloved Falco. It was set four years after 64, making 2001 the actual time. Here it the hard part. Star Fox Adventures came out in 2002, with throws away my theory. Because Adventures was eight years after 64, making it in our years 2005, the year of Star Fox Assault. Then 2006 should have been Assault, but it was Star Fox Command that came out then. My theory is kinda wrong, but if there is research you guys want me to do, I’d love to help when I have the time!
@codym512s
Here: http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_Lylat_System_history
This link will explain a bit more on the Star Fox timeline. Basically BLW (Before Lylat Wars) and ALW (After Lylat Wars)
The link also tells you the age of the characters.
Wow… I do not like Wolf’s voice. He sounds way to generic bad guy. Where is that scruffy, ruffian voice from assault and super smash bros?
@Dakota West
Most of the characters will have their SF64 voices due to nostalgia. Which basically means we have a spin-off game dedicated to SF64 Slippy. Suddenly I’m bit happier I probably won’t have room for Star Fox Guard on my WiiU.
I think they are going a little far with the nostalgia then. lol
@Dakota West
Yeah, it’s not the best Wolf voice, but it might work for Bowser from Mario! LOL! In Star fox 64, Wolf had a British accent, so I don’t think this is the SF64 actor. I think a good voice for Wolf would be the creator of Star Fox: The Animated Sires. He is very close to the Star Fox Assault voice with the style of a western out law. The only problem is that he really doesn’t like Krystal. =:(
Wolf’s voice actor from Zero is still the exact same one from 64, as is every other character in the game too. I don’t know why he has a different style voice here than from before, but he’s still voiced by his original VA, Jock Blaney, in this one. Although, I still believe that Grant Goodeve/Jay Ward did the best job of giving Wolf his voice, both in his gruff, southern style from Assault/Brawl and in general.
