Dinosaur Planet Animated Series Teaser
This teaser was originally revealed in the livestream on Saturday. It shows a rough idea of the kind of animation to expect. As I understand, it will be a combination of fully animated scenes, some 3D animated scenes, and the kind of storyboard-like animatic style seen in the above trailer. Also, shown was the following video interview and overview of the project.

hopefully is fully animated and not like that. we will never know what going to happen of what rare ltd. made the game to be before Nintendo step in.
Beta testers told rare that the game was too short thats why they caned it nintendo exstended it with arwing battles and 4 more krazoa shrine quests.
Well we’ll have to wait and see. I mean Dinosaur Planet was not released by nintendo. So I don’t see any problems with that. My concern as I said in the previous post is the animation. I’m glad they came forward and stated not to expect animation like batman, at least they’re being honest. But the reason why batman animation is great is because it came from comics then was transformed into animation. So, I think they should do a fan comic first and then release it in animation form. Plus if you look at this video “The making of Naruto the movie”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdzjqOuO_Ig
You’ll see that the manga was the guide line of the animation (How long a scene is in order to draw so many frames. Drawing the character, scenes and animating the characters separately, then bringing them all together)
I know they said they don’t have the budget to do top notch animation. But following the example of professionals is the best way to go.
The reason those animation companies used the comics and manga is because that was the source material for the projects. In this case I would assume they would draft storyboards for the animation to build off. If they were to create a comic to go with they would have to put in a lot more effort to make sure it’s actually of a quality to show. Storyboard is meant for internal use between the animators so doesn’t need to be high quality. So long as they can tell what they need to do from it it’s fine.
When it comes to Dinosaur Planet I never how to feel about projects like this. Whenever I see something like this I often wonder if the people responsible have the belief that somehow Dinosaur Planet would have been a far superior and completely different game to Star Fox Adventures. What’s worse is when I see gaming sites reporting it as such. Not that I am against the project but more about what may come because of it.
@AngelFoxDreamer
True Animation Companies use these comics and manga for source material but also for an idea of how the animation would play out. You can’t really put words into animation that really takes a lot more effort. Plus it’s true that making a fan comic would be a lot more work and effort. But isn’t it better to do things the hard way than the easy way, at least they’ll learn a lot more. Also, at the rate this is going, all of their animated scenes would be side views. I doubt they’d be able to have any 3d perception.
As for the project itself I’m glad they’re actually doing something and it’s for Krystal too.
@LucasJG1994
I am curious to see where this is going. I’ve heard about Dinosaur Planet before it Became Star Fox Adventures.
@ChickyBoy37
I too am curious to see where this project goes. After all the story was never completed. So it’ll be interesting to see where this fits in a timeline about Krystal past. In fact why is she there to begin with away from Cerinia? They might show this in the project, no to certain of it though.
It’s cool to see fans being interested in the series before Star Fox, but I’m hoping that this won’t be triggered like that 80’s animated dude. I mean doing it for the money is wrong. If it’s short animated and for fun to watch over money then I’m good. Otherwise, if they are doing something wrong then I can see why.
