Krystal Replaces Alyx in New Half Life 2 Mod
Falemirous, the guy who's been really helping with the Miiverse Project, has made a really awesome Krystal mod for Half Life 2! The mod replaces Alyx, the secondary companion character, with Krystal. As a result, you will have the pleasure of Krystal guiding you through part of the game's tutorial, and you will see her in other places throughout the rest of the game. Though the rig is a bit unorthodox, it's hard to argue with the results. It features facial animation, a physically active tail, and various "jiggle bones" to make for a very dynamic character. The EMP tool is replaced by Krystal's Staff. Depending on which version you get, Krystal can either fire a blaster or a mini gatling gun. Both the guns and the Staff use sound effects from their respective games.
The mod is compatible with Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and Synergy (a free multiplayer Half-Life 2 mod). You can download either the blaster or gatling gun versions from the new Falemirous Half Life 2 Alyx Mod page.

I don’t play Half Life, probably never will not being a fan of M-rated games… But I will say that this is one of the best Krystal mods I’ve seen!
You can thank that MMD post a bit earlier for this mod, warfaremachine’s Krystal model is exactly what was needed to make this mod and I would have never known about it. She appears intermittently in Half-Life 2, but if you really want to spend time with Krystal you’ll want to play Episode 1 and Episode 2, she appears throughout pretty much all of both.
this mod is more advanced but it still creeps me out I like the original better.
I wish it had been this or this model.
Oh, and apparently this mod has the sounds of Krystal’s staff, but Bitterskunk’s mod still uses the electric guitar sounds for the staff.
Speaking of bitterskunk’s mod, I actually seperated the staff, changed it to a fireaxe replacement and gave it staff sounds, getting audio from the gamecube games is a bit of hassle lol
That is awesome. I love playing Half-Life 2. And it looks like a really good mod.
