Star Fox and Other SNES Titles Added to Nintendo Switch Online Tomorrow
Surprisingly, we actually did get some Star Fox news in today's Nintendo Direct. The original SNES Star Fox is coming to the Nintendo Online service, free with paid membership, on Thursday, September 5th, 2019. A new exclusive is Stunt Race FX, which has never released outside its original SNES launch. They promised more games in the future, so seeing Star Fox 2 show up here eventually is probable, given that they released it for the SNES Mini.
In Smash news, Sakurai announced to our surprise that he would continue making more DLC fighters even after the 5th Fighter Pass character is released. From the sound of it, the team intends to focus on non-Nintendo series when picking newcomers, but hope always remains. Nintendo (and Sakurai) can do whatever they wish, and if fans want Krystal, we might just get her! The ride never ends, the hope never dies!

This is why I have respect for you because you think differently about Nintendo’s and Sakurai’s decision. Yeah we got plenty of Nintendo characters and we’re getting lots of amazing fighters. I’m hoping that we can get at least one Nintendo character in the next DLC wave? Fingers crossed!

In what way am I thinking differently? Are you referring to taking a positive spin on things?
Viva la Hope!
While it is good that we are getting more DLC characters after the first 5, wonder how many more are we going to get after that. Also while it is also good that we are getting third-party characters, I am hoping that they are not being very dependent to only pick third-party characters and leave first-party Nintendo characters for DLC out in the cold. And yes one can always hope for Krystal to one day finally make it into Smash as a playable character. I am also crossing my fingers that one day we will get an actual Starfox game on the Switch and that they will place Starfox 2 in the SNES library on the Switch.
