ArwingLanding.net is Down
One of the premier Star Fox fansites for many years, ArwingLanding.net has gone down again, its domain name apparently expired. I'm told that the site was essentially dead before that, its forum largely inactive, but it is still sad to see such a large community disappear. Hopefully this is a temporary situation and the site will be restored.
This brings up larger questions to me, though. To my knowledge, the largest Star Fox sites on the internet right now are Star Fox at Wikia, Starfox-Online.net, and the Krystal Archive. Notable Star Fox sites that are dead or dying are the Krystal Lovers Association and of course, ArwingLanding.net. All other Star Fox fansites either disappeared long ago, or are too small to mention (please correct me if I missed one).
The Wikia Star Fox page has a very rich amount of mostly historical and textual information. It doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon. Starfox-Online.net appears pretty strong, and their community forum, while not as active as it once was, is still swinging. And then there's the Krystal Archive, focused primarily on news and archival of media. Since I helped put Starfox-Online.net back together when it failed the first time (back in, I don't know, 2006?), and maintained an active presence there until around 2011, I have a copy of pretty much every piece of media ever published there, since I was responsible for a significant percentage of it. So that stuff is not going away, I just have to publish it.
It's something I've been thinking about: should I start a Star Fox Archive? I probably will, in some form. I hesitate to initiate some kind of forum software though, because managing a community is a lot of work that I just don't have time for. Then again, there are things like Facebook and other social platforms that could easily fill the hole that a forum otherwise might have. What do you guys think? Where do you go for Star Fox community? Would you like to see historical Star Fox media published somewhere? I will of course continue to post Star Fox news in addition to Krystal news here. It's just that I might also post it somewhere else too.

I went on SF-O for a bit, but unfortunately, cussing was allowed. I can tolerate cussing, but my overprotective parents? Not so much.
I haven’t really found any other active SF communities, which is a shame, really. :(
I personally love the individuality of every SF site. It’s always sad to see them go down.I remember a fansite SF64? It got me into StarFox and later the furry fandom.I feel if the franchise had more games and it would be livelier.
Even if some sites fall starfox and it’s legacy will never die as long as we keep it in our hearts.
Weird… I was on Arwing Landing just last week… This is about the only place I go for related news. I might check out SFO more though.
With the Arwinglanding situation from what I know about it is that the site owner abandoned the forum at some point and changed the site to a news blog which didn’t stay active for long. Even before that the Star Fox communities were only very active just after release of a game. A lot of members went to Star Fox Online forums. A general Star Fox community would struggle.
I kind of posted before I finished… Sorry.
Reason I think a general StarFox community would struggle as with ArwingLanding not going to get many cross community members. I also feel a lot of general Star Fox communities tend to get a number of people who don’t like certain aspects of the series. It can be a huge put off to join or be active in a forum. As a Star Fox series fan joining any Star Fox community is scary. Everyone on this site comes across as being nice but I have seen a lot of randomness elsewhere to make it scary. A lot of fans of the first game and versions of the first game can be very forceful of their views. Admittedly it also can be the same the other way around.
Just thought I should also add that I do know of a forum that are looking to affiliate with a website. The main reason being it’s not a very active forum. Not entirely sure I should or should not mention it though.
Hhhmm, well come to think of it, I will have to go through all of my listings of Krystal and Starfox webpages and see which one of them have been updated recently, or have been inactive for quite a long time.
Mr. Krystal, I’ll let you know what I come up with.
Perhaps you could have one site for the Krystal fans, and the other for the rest of the Star Fox universe?
Just a thought….
Mr. Krystal
The first ever Star Fox community I ever joined was the Krystal Archive and I wish for this site to remain forever. Creating a Star Fox Archive will be good for information about what is happening with the characters other than Krystal. Plus, using Facebook for community services is a great way for us to submit some of our work for Krystal (Example Fan-fiction, Fan Art, Music Remixes, Music Covers if you allow it and games that we might make)
I hope you can do it Mrkrystal. Belive the people of Krystal
Of course, just for sh**s and giggles, if you created this secondary site, you could call it the Corneria City Historical Society…
@MrKrystal I needed Fox McCloud’s Adventures voice clips, anyway. ^^
I think that would be a great idea, you could make a different website or attach it onto The Krystal Archive, it alls comes down to if you want to do it and have the time spare to o it obviously its not an overnight job, but if you have lots on your plate we wouldn’t want you to pile more stuff on top.

OH CMON WHY BAD WORDS IS ON THIS SITE OR WHAT??????!!!!!!
