Greyfirefox Reappears
A couple of you have emailed me to let me know that someone going by CakeInferno might possibly be the long-lost Greyfirefox under a different name. I've conversed with him and can confirm that, yes, CakeInferno is Greyfirefox. The reason he disappeared was due to overly critical comments from some "hard-core Star Fox fans." They were badgering him about the technical accuracy of his Krystal rig and animations to the point that he was no longer enjoying himself.
After taking a break from the internet for a while, he has returned to do 3D graphics once more under this new name. However, this time he is focused on subject matter that is mildly NSFW using different, but similar characters. It is because of this potentially NSFW content that I urge caution if you wish to view his new gallery directly.
Meanwhile, Greyfirefox will be sending any future Krystal content to the Krystal Archive for posting, to the possible exclusion of his own gallery. No word yet on how often and what kind of content that will be, but he did state that he will not be using Krystal in any future NSFW projects.

Thats odd that people would comlain about accuracy when his rigs were beyond spot on. Oh well i guess, im just glad he is back because his talent and attention to detail is amazing
that was a nice render of krystal with lots of hair and fur renderings, just wondering what program he used for that.

Now his section under 3D needs to be updated because he’s no longer gone and unresponsive…
@Alex
Yep. But I’m waiting until he tells me more about what he plans to do. For example, I don’t know if he plans to finish version 1.5 of the rig.
While I’m not saying he’s not, because he probably is, I’m still taking this with a grain of salt. Given enough time and the right wording I could convince you all that I’m really Buzz Aldrin.
And here I thought he was tired of people pestering him to make nudie/sex pics of her which made him quit… guess I was wrong!
Sounds like someone has thin skin for criticism….
@Glitcher
Perhaps, but that was never the point. He did 3D animation as a way of escaping daily stress. When people took it super seriously and criticized his work, it was no longer a way of escape. It just added stress.
I actually didn’t know so much of this was going on (and I would not be shocked in the slightest if it turned out he was also feeling irritated because of people who DID want NSFW stuff and kept hounding him about it) so when he disappeared completely for no apparent reason, I was actually a little scared. If I remember, the Maya software was supplied by the graphic art firm he works for, and I wouldn’t know what the policy is on using this software for reasons outside of work, so I was initially kind of afraid his employment had something to do with it.
@Alex
That was my suspicion as well, but nope.
I spoke to him as well, I’ve no reason to doubt it was him, I just wish people didn’t bellyache about Krystal’s accuracy; as long as it’s no the original model (which has every poor texture quality) I really don’t care. The problem is that Maya ain’t easy to learn.
