Although me and command never mixed too well in the past, I’m glad people who do like the game get to play it again. It more than likely won’t be too long before we might see assault and/or adventures come here to eshop as well. I’m if anything glad that Mr.K was right. He proved that Nintendo never did scrap Krystal, or Panther, or Katt (then again, she was seen in star fox zero) etc. :)
Although I’m not too big a fan of Command, it’s still great to see Nintendo keeping Krystal and Panther around for more action. I wish Adventures and Assault were out for the eshop too. For the future games, well I’m working on the scripts to point out the ideas for the next game (which hopefully is a sequel to Assault.). So my video on the next Star Fox game is not quite ready yet, but keep an eye out on my channel.

I agree. Even though I have this game for the DS, I’ll but ir to show my support to the Starfox series. Besides, I’m sure we’ll see Krystal again in the future for future Starfox games and hopefully in Starfox Zero. Hopefully we’ll see Adventures and Assault on the Wii U ‘ s e Shop like you said. But more importantly, to get Krystal into Smash 4 ‘ s DLC at long last.
Part of me enjoyed Command but certain aspects just puts me off playing it again. I want to support the series but not sure I want to support Command. I do have a soft spot for some of the endings. That’s part of reason don’t want to get the game again. It’s a pain to get some of them. 1v1 plus a timer is not my idea of fun in that game.
I’m still pushing for Krystal to be in Zero. Just to show there is demand for Krystal. After reading that Monolith Soft was considered for Zero I’m hoping Nintendo will ask Monolith Soft to create Star Fox Adventures Zero.
@Dragonheart07
This eshop release vastly improved her chances. Sakurai stated in an interview not to long ago that Lucas, Roy and Ryu were the last DLC characters made before the ballot, and every other DLC possibilities will come purely from the ballot. So now it’s really on. Every vote, big or small is vital for Krystal and every other possibility. Now more than ever
@earth being
True. When you mentioned Roy, Lucas and Ryu there, what about Wolf? Would it be very possible that he may be the last veteran character for DLC before the ballot even started and then later Krystal would be revealed from the ballot? But I do agree with you that Command ‘ s release on the eShop has increased her chances to be DLC by a tenfold with the combination of Starfox Zero later this year all the more and the same goes for Wolf. Because the Starfox series is becoming relevant once again. I really hope that they bring forth Adventures and Assault to the eShop in the near future.
I actually liked Command a lot. It was kind of a throwback to the original with at the time current Star Fox elements thrown in. It even had a better story than Assault, if you ask me. Assault was good, it was just cheesy as hell at times, and really didn’t have any drastic consequences. Peppy was about to die a hero and somehow he was saved in the nick of time. Then just a few levels before, General Pepper was about to die a hero… then saved in the nick of time. I like both characters a lot and would feel bad if they did die, but it’s painful to watch a really good plot twist go sour. If I was writing Star Fox, I would have killed them both off for the sake of story telling. Not in the same game, but I would have done it with style… come to think of it, Star Fox would be a lot darker if I wrote it anyhow. Like Dark Knight or Bioshock levels. Not quite Stephen King dark… then it just wouldn’t be Star Fox.
@Dragonheart07
Here’s the interview: http://nintendoeverything.com/details-from-sakurais-new-famitsu-column-only-several-more-smash-bros-wii-u3ds-dlc-characters-planned/ sorry but he said absolutely nothing about anyone else, not even wolf being developed before the ballot. He’s got to get voted in like everyone else. I think he’s a shoe in due to star fox zero and being one of the last few veterans people give two cents about. :)
@earth being
From the sound of that little news, I’m starting to worry about Krystal’s chances on getting in. I hope she makes it in, since she was the top requested female character since Brawl.
@Stardog Smasher
That’s one of the many reasons why I’m doing all I can to have her in. There was a ballot created for a reason. To put in characters the fans feel as if Nintendo ignored. He said he wants to appease as many people as possible but at the same time is well aware he’ll have to stop smash DLC one day. She should be a shoe in by now I would think. Throughout Miiverse, I’ve seen tons of people in support of her. And then there’s here. Not to rub it in but not a whole lot of potential fighters have a fan base so loyally devoted, they went as far as to create an entire website complete with social media links. (Kudos to Mr.K for that idea) I could get into more depth about this, but that’s an entirely different story on it’s own :)
i will never get used to star fox command, touch base wasn’t good for a game like this.
Great, now take out your memory stick and burn it, then create a time machine to stop yourself from buying it.
@Sylono
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not that much of a big command fan either (katt’s redesign, multiple endings, time limit, etc.) But those who do like it really should be able to play it. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean the rest of the world has to. It’s a start for releasing star fox games for eshop. That’s how I see it. If there’s something you don’t like, it’s as simple as don’t but it :)
Wait… I meant buy it not but it. Auto correct… :/
I do believe that this explains command in a nutshell: http://darkdijinartie89.deviantart.com/art/Making-Sense-of-Stupidity-08-84998970
@ earth being
Nice picture XD. Definitely explains the game
@earth being
I was kidding, ya’ know, but in the case of command it’s a stumble as far as releases go, but I guess it’s one step to getting Adventures and Assault in the future, so I’ll deal with it.
we all said it since forever, they are not going to axe off krystal, panther, or hell even slippy’s girlfriend (Amanda)… Especially Amanda. (come on slippy shouldn’t be forever alone :x )
anyways I still have the cartridge for this piece of **** game. It cost me 1.75 at gamestop. Save yourself the money and buy the cartridge and play it on your ds. Seriously I still think I am getting ****** by having to pay 2 dollars for this ****** game. I think I could have made a better starfox game using visual basic 6 and static images.
@ earth being
holy ****, you just like nailed it right on the head. Had the heads at nintendo not have their collective heads in each others *****, they could have perhaps found a better way to get replay value.
I think even starfox assault had better replay value based on the multiplayer and visuals alone.
I really want to see what starfox zero has with the amiibo thing. Its something simple, casual, non essential but yet its because of little details, such as allowing for slight customization, that games like COD are great. Actually I’d love to see DLC and custom things like they had with splatoon. They nailed it perfectly. Starfox zero has a lot of potential and I hate to say it but it also has a lot of slack to pick up.
@Antimario
Language! There are ladies and children present!
Also, I would love to see your superior Star Fox game made exclusively by you using only “visual basic 6 and static images.” I’m a real game programmer by trade and I would not make that claim.
