New Star Fox Game Teased by Credible Leaker
Podcaster and relatively reliable leaker, Nate the Hate, just posted a podcast in which he revealed that he had information on a new Star Fox game intended to be announced very soon. I'm not super familiar with him, but I am assured that he is usually pretty accurate when he makes definite statements like this. It would make sense for Nintendo to announce something Star Fox related right after hyping up Fox McCloud in the Mario Galaxy movie.
Here's what Nate said, specifically:
- Summer 2026 Switch 2 Lineup will begin with a new Star Fox.
- Will be revealed before May, likely shadow-dropped on social media as a trailer.
- Coming out before the end of 2026.
- Classic style Star Fox style game.
- "Very good" visuals.
- Online multiplayer.
- He might have been joking, but he referenced Falco saying gibberish speech like in the SNES game.
Time will tell. It sounds plausable, but so have a lot of other rumors of past years. Keep your eyes on Nintendo's social media, just in case.

i guess so, did play “zero” and didn’t like it much and quit after it.
If it’s true it better not be just another first game remake.
I’m fully expecting it to be a rehash of the plot of Star Fox 64, so I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it isn’t. But how likely is it that they’ll actually move the story forward after Assault?
I don’t know about this. For all I know, it could be another April Fool’s prank, a trap to catch hackers and cyber criminals, or if the rumor is true, they could make this Star Fox game as another game in a similar fashion to F-Zero 99, Super Mario 35 and Tetris 99, not a true “next” installment. I have heard of something years ago that the Star Fox series did not sold well in Japan, and with Star Fox Zero and 2, I’m still not fully sure if Nintendo will or won’t ever return back to this series again if it didn’t do that well for them or not that popular anymore, unlike their other hit series like Mario and Pokemon. I’m sorry if my opinion offended or hurt anyone of you here, I’m just putting here what I had in mind, and I’m still not sure about Fox in the new Mario movie rumor.
