It has been a couple years since I showed off my massive Star Fox and Krystal collection, and I've added quite a few things to it since then. Over the upcoming weeks, I'll share details on the new items I've obtained.

This time it's the official Star Fox 64 Soundtrack CD. This is the North American sountrack CD, sold directly through Nintendo Power's store. (Yep, Nintendo Power had a mail order store and later an online store.) I had bought a bunch of things through them, and later the Nintendo Online Store before it all got consolidated into the My Nintendo Store (which I think is basically run through the same system as Nintendo New York). If you had wanted exclusive Nintendo stuff, including game soundtracks and obscure items like the the GameCube component video cables, that's where you had to buy it.

This soundtrack has gone for over $200 on eBay recently. For me, I found this on Facebook Marketplace for $80, which was a great deal by comparison. I was able to rip the whole CD in lossless quality with no issues. The CD itself is in perfect shape, though there is damage to the case. I have some spare cases to replace it with, however.

This CD contains 30 tracks, which is the vast majority of the soundtrack. It's mostly missing alternate variants of a couple tracks and some of the intro and outro fanfare themes. It's unfortunately missing Katt's theme and Bill's theme too. Still, hard to beat CD quality for these tracks!

There was another official Star Fox 64 Soundtrack CD called "Original Cuts" released in North America that had only 14 tracks and came in a slip sleeve instead of a case. This one sells for around $60. It looks like this:
