PriamWolf has made a life size Krystal papercraft from the Brawl trophy model. Awesome sauce!

As you guys know, there was a long period where I wasn't able to update the site like I should. Now that I'm getting back in the swing of things, I'm discovering older stuff that I just completely missed, so I'll be posting those as I find them!

Starting off, the_randomizer made a very complete Krystal mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl last month. The mod replaces Princess Peach in the roster and includes her staff as a weapon. The mod is available for download too!

I just restored some of the 3D Models and Rigs section. 5 models/rigs have had their pages restored and updated, 8 more to go before the section is back to its former size. There are other, newer models that I had never got around to posting about. Hopefully I can get to those soon.

I had a bit more time, so I added three more pages, all for Nanogrrr's models. The remaining pages are for models that don't have downloads, or I had never posted before.

Dark Fantasy Films is once again interviewing Alésia Glidewell, the voice of Krystal in Star Fox Assault, the voice of Krystal and Samus in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the model actress of Chell in Portal. This time, the interview will be fan driven, with the majority of questions coming from you, the fans.

That's where you come in. We need you to submit questions for Alésia. The questions can be about her work as Krystal, Samus, Chell, her other acting appearances, her films and directorial work, or her personal life. Just make sure the questions are respectful and appropriate for all ages.

After the interview, if Alésia chooses your question as her favorite, you will receive an autographed glossy print of Alésia Glidewell, customized just for you.

Cameron Sutter and the rest of the team at Corneria Studios have begun work on a Star Fox fangame that will use the Oculus Rift VR headset for visuals and flight control (motion sensing). Made up of students at Brigham Young University in Utah, the team is building the game as their senior year project and must be finished by April of 2014. They are seeking our help as Star Fox fans to make sure the game stays true to its Star Fox roots. They produced a demo to show off to other students at BYU, and I'm hoping to see a trailer and/or playable demo from them soon.

I finally uploaded the new theme! I had to tweak a few things, but it's mostly done. If you think you might have an old version, refresh the page a few times or try opening the page in another browser. Please let me know how you like it or if you run into any issues. Just leave a comment or email me. If you're reporting an issue, don't forget to mention what browser version you're using.

I hope it's not too much of a disappointment that not much has changed. It's just an improvement in the site's consistency, load times (hopefully), and typography. All the spacing, borders, coloration, functionality, and that sort of thing have been simplified and made consistent. There is a new script for opening and closing YouTube videos, so we get better options and a nicer look.

Update

For a mere $6000, you can own pretty much everything associated with Star Fox Super Weekend, the rare promo edition of the original Star Fox. This thing comes with tons of promotional materials, several cartridges, pens, toys, even a parachute that was used to air-drop copies of Star Fox to stores. I can't afford it, but it's times like these that makes me wish there was a non-profit Star Fox history organization that could.

I have so distressing news, everybody. Back on August 11th, our friend and major site contributor, FoxType, was taken to the ER with severe abdominal pain. He had been suffering off and on since mid-May, but in August while attending the D23 Disney Convention, the mysterious issue became too great. He had a serious misalignment with parts of his digestive tract, which I believe had become infected. He also found out on the same day that he is diabetic. Tragic news on the day he was supposed to be having fun with other Disney fans!

He's been giving me updates occasionally. He's been through at least one surgery already and is on the road to recovery. He tells me he'll be in the hospital for another two weeks. Then he'll be in recovery at home for another couple weeks. It sounds like the worst is behind him. He asked me to let you all know what's going on. In spite of my objections, he is still anxious to get back to work on the videos he took of Ayano's cosplay at the beginning of the year.

I'd like to ask you all to keep FoxType in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers. Thank you.
