Dozens of Star Fox 3D Models Available
Maybe some of you knew about this, but I sure didn't! Much like the Spriters Resource (a website devoted to hosting sprites from video games), there is now a website for hosting video game models called The Models Resource. They already have dozens of models from various Star Fox games, or games where Star Fox characters and vehicles made cameos. It's really amazing how many they already have, and I suspect they will upload far more as time goes on.
Of primary interest to you Krystal fans, they have uploaded 3 Krystal models:
- Star Fox Adventures Krystal - Ripped by Models124717
- Krystal Trophy from Super Smash Bros Brawl - Ripped by Link101
- Krystal Trophy from Super Smash Bros for Wii U - Ripped by ThatTrueStruggle
While we already have rips (or near-rips) of the first two models (here and here), I didn't realize until just yesterday that the trophy pose for Krystal is different between the two Smash Bros games. This is the first time I've seen the Wii U Krystal Trophy as a downloadable mesh. Awesome!
And, of course, there are TONS of other Star Fox related models at the time of writing, including...
- Star Fox Guard - Enemies, items, planets, and an Arwing model
- Star Fox Assault - Ships and enemies
- Star Fox Adventures - Various Characters
- Star Fox 64 - Enemies and ships
- Star Fox - Some custom-made ships
- Super Smash Bros for Wii U listing - Star Fox characters, items, and trophies
- Super Smash Bros. Melee - Star Fox characters, items, and trophies
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Star Fox characters, items, and trophies
- Bayonetta 2 - Fox Mercenary Outfit
- Street Pass Mii Plaza - Star Fox hats
- Legend of Zelda - The secret debug Arwing
No doubt there will be much more to come! Wow!
The question now is this: who will do something interesting and awesome with these models? I know I'm going to explore these for possibilities in the near future.

Do you know if these would work on SFM?
@CdrD
These are just meshes and textures. You would have to convert them to the right format AND rig them for animation.
yea there’s a considerable amount of neat stuff on this, also none of those models would have facial flexes, you’d want the LD/charley rig or the grey rig before considering porting it to SFM. Also Cdr, are you cdr on smashboards too?
Got one did it now part of starfox adventures 2 shame morph targets don’t work in unity anymore oddly enough 3ds max struggles with morph targets to. shame I had voice acting planed.
@Mr. K
Wow, you didn’t know that they gave her a NEW trophy in Smash 4? That was my whole point when I mentioned reasons why Nintendo is not getting rid of her :D Which pose do you prefer by the way? I like the Smash 4 one better as it doesn’t highlight her sexiness that much but rather represents her character from Assault: A thinker and analyst :)
i notice that site since when the wii was still around before the wii u came out.
@Mr. Brownstone
To be fair, the main difference between them is her arm position and the tail is on the other side. Her legs are virtually identical, same with face. I think it’s the same model, but reposed. It’s a toss up. I don’t strongly prefer one over the other. And I don’t see any problem with Krystal being both sexy and a thinker. They’re both sexy poses to me. ;)
@Rareware#1Fan
Maybe so, but the Krystal Adventures model is relatively new: January 2017. Some of the other Star Fox related models are literally just a few days old.
OMG they ripped the SF Zero Arwing models? Heck yeah! Now I can finally stop using the low poly-terrible resolution-bulky Assault Arwing model xD
@Mr. Krystal
yea, but it take times to re-fix all those models.
I’ve seen few of those models elsewhere or soemthing similar. Unfortunately not much use for me. Partly because my computer is in need of a huge upgrade. Also I’ve come to the conclusion it isn’t best idea to do a fan game but one inspired by. That way if it is a really good game I won’t get in trouble.
