3rd Person Krystal Demo Created in Dreams for PS4

Many of you have probably seen this, but back in June, CaptainKnight808 posted his amazing work of building a Star Fox Adventures-like experience in Dreams for PS4. For those who don't know, Dreams is a creative engine where you can make theoretically anything inside it, including other 3D games.
In the video demo, CaptainKnight808 explains that he was experimenting with 3rd person gameplay and recreated Krystal from Star Fox Adventures, one of the first games he played in childhood. Krystal can do all the stuff she can do in the first part of Adventures, plus a few other things like swimming and climbing. The demo looks fantastic! Hard to believe it's just a demo on a simplified console game engine.
Unfortunately, CaptainKnight808 has no plans to release this demo, which makes me sad. However, he is working on other demos which show powerful 3rd person action gameplay features. He more recently created a demo with a red-furred Krystal-inspired character that might be more readily released. (The character appears green here because of the lighting.)
Krazoa Palace Stage Revealed in Fangame Super Smash Flash 2

Though she's not released yet, Krystal was revealed as a fighter in 2018. The creators, McLeodGaming, are still working on the game, preparing its next release with tons of new characters and features, so unfortunately, Krystal isn't available yet.
In the meanwhile, however, the team has revealed a new stage from Star Fox Adventures: Krazoa Palace. In this stage, there are two floating platforms, and an optional hazard fan that gently levitates the fighters above it. You can see Fox and Krystal on the stage here.

Krystal Cosplay-ception
When doing research for Moonllita's cosplay appearance at the Montréal ComicCon in July 2019, I noticed something particular in the background of some of the footage.
Two Krystals! At the same time, in the same convention! How did we not notice?! I was all geared up to get you guys to help me figure out who this cosplayer was, because I couldn't find any information about it... until a few hours later when, presumably in reference to the Moonllita post, the original cosplayer contacted me and gave me a bunch of info! So I've got the scoop, and I will be posting about this new cosplayer soon. I just wanted to have a little fun with this discovery, especially since I made the video before hearing from the new Krystal.
Moonllita Cosplaying Krystal TODAY

Moonllita's Krystal cosplay was mentioned in the past, with tons of WIP shots and details about her plans. Around the same time of the last post, she completed her cosplay early, ready for the next convention. She made her first public appearance as Krystal on Saturday, July 6th 2019, at the Montréal Comiccon. Here she is about to start the day as Krystal.
There, she completed her first photoshoot with Cyberfox007, the image above being one of them. She cosplayed with her boyfriend, gdicommander who cosplayed as Link from Breath of the Wild wearing the Desert Voe Armor (Photo by MrJechgo)
I even managed to find a couple of videos of her.
And what do you know, Moonllita is cosplaying Krystal again TODAY, August 16th, 2019 at Otakuthon! I swear I didn't plan it this way. Anyway, she's probably walking around right now as Krystal up in Canada, so go say 'hi' if you're at the con. Hopefully we'll get to see more photos and videos from that event in the coming days!

SchattenKitsune666’s MMD Conversion of JCThornton’s Rig

Following directly from yesterday's post, SchattenKitsune666 has been working on modifying JCThornton's Rig to be compatible with MMD, the dancing simulator and recording application. She even added a Star Fox Adventures outfit version. You can download the WIP rigs on her DeviantArt post.
JCThornton’s Krystal Model

Back in April of this year, JCThornton released an original Krystal model and rig for free! This is a more cartoony style, in keeping with his other works. I think it's well done, and the fact that it's free and available in multiple formats makes it that much better. Even native Blender for those with constrained budgets.
You can download the model directly from his Patreon and read about the development on his DeviantArt post. Oh, and he posted about it on Twitter too.
AlphaYes 3D Prints and Paints Krystal… a lot!

DeviantArt user AlphaYes has been 3D printing and painting Krystal models since around March 2018, starting with the 3D printable trophy model I released. Since then, he has expanded to another trophy model from the games, and a variation of his own in his latest post. The painting job looks really great.
Just about anyone can do the same thing with a $200 3D printer, some paint, and free software. Isn't technology amazing?

RobynHoody Krystal Cosplay at A-Kon 2018

I found out about this cosplay a while back, but I'm finally able to post about it. RobynHoody (as she goes by on DeviantArt) attended A-Kon 2018 in Dallas Texas last year. The cosplay features an Assault suit, a minigun, ears, a wig, jewelry, a tail, and face paint. From the looks of the photos, it was a very difficult cosplay due to the summer heat. She cosplayed together with Grinn3r, who cosplayed Fox.
Thanks to Grinn3r for source materials.
Star Fox Nod in Marvel Comic

In a recent issue of Ms. Marvel Team-Up (pretty sure it's this one), RawmeatCowboy of GoNintendo found a quick nod to Star Fox, where one character is referring to Marvel's Star Fox character (1973) is mixed up with Star Fox, the video game series, by another character.
Short, sweet, clever.
