Star Fox Adventures Krystal Mod Experiments

Nightcast, a member of the Krystal Archive Discord server, has been slowly working on a mod for Star Fox Adventures to get Krystal playable, the Holy Grail of Star Fox mods for a long time! He's managed to put Krystal in several places she wasn't supposed to be, with backpack and staff, which is more than what the previous ActionReplay codes could do.
He's still blocked by some complexities related to how the files are stored and manipulated in the game data. Something about being able to put the Krystal information in the right place in such a way that nothing crashes. But rest assured, as soon as he can get it working, we'll do a deep dive of it.
On that note, if there's anyone out there with experience deconstructing games or reverse engineering data formats, Nightcast would love some assistance. Comment below or email me if you want to help out.
Krystal Car Hood Decal by SikDrift

SikDrift created a custom Krystal decal for his racing car back in March! This is "itasha", a car decorated with images of fictional characters of anime, manga, or video games.
He actually raced using the custom hood, and later showed it off at the Car-Nvl showcase. The hood, which appears to be carbon fiber, now hangs proudly on his wall when not at races or car shows.
He posted the original sketch on Twitter, and you can see the final version of the fanart on DeviantArt.

Adventures Fandub Cutscene in Saurian
Two fan voice actors perform the scales confrontation scene from the beginning of Star Fox Adventures, with KestinTheVoice as General Scales and AegisHikaru as Krystal. I think they did a great job, especially where they fixed one of the errors in the original Saurian.
CloudRunner Fortress from Star Fox Adventures Completely Recreated in Minecraft
This is one of the coolest Minecraft builds I've ever seen. YouTube user Viggzplashfilms went to the trouble to recreate the entire CloudRunner Fortress in Minecraft. Not only is the entire thing there, he even took the time to build the boss room, which is a cavern racing track, using two sets of powered minecart tracks. Be sure to watch the second video just to see the amazing boss room track.
ECTS 2000 Dinosaur Planet Footage
This is probably old news to Dinosaur Planet researchers, but I recently came across this recording of press materials from the European Computer Trade Show in 2000, uploaded by AIiskola from what is clearly a VHS tape. In it, there's a complete trailer for Dinosaur Planet, with footage of Krystal, of course. Very cool. You never know when you'll run across something you've never seen before, you know?
Krystal Joins the Fight Artbook Printed for Nintendo

VixenVotaries was inspired by a group of Ridley fans called Ridley Revolution who got together to push for Ridley in Smash Bros. One of the things they did was create a book about Ridley to show their support for Ridley. Knowing of the similar passion that we Krystal fans have for our beloved blue vixen, VixenVoltaries got to work recruiting artists for the project: to create a Krystal art book to send to Nintendo. The title line of "Each image is a vote for Krystal to be a playable fighter." is a good summary of the core idea.
After about 4 months of work, the art has been gathered and the book has been printed. In the next few days, the book will be sent to Nintendo, along with a huge letter explaining the project and fan support. There are about 25 unique artworks created for this project, including masterful cover art by GeroVort. They're hoping that this will be just one more way to show Nintendo how much support Krystal has to be included as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros.
Back Cover
If you want to see the artwork from the book, you can see all of the pages at this imgur gallery, and you can see which pages are included in this Twitter discussion.
The book's spine is very insistent.
I'm still compiling information and talking to artists, but once that's done, we will be releasing the files, post links, and instructions here so that you too can print a copy of your very own! I ask for your patience. Getting this together is why I missed yesterday's post. Sorry about that.
3rd Person Krystal Demo Created in Dreams for PS4

Many of you have probably seen this, but back in June, CaptainKnight808 posted his amazing work of building a Star Fox Adventures-like experience in Dreams for PS4. For those who don't know, Dreams is a creative engine where you can make theoretically anything inside it, including other 3D games.
In the video demo, CaptainKnight808 explains that he was experimenting with 3rd person gameplay and recreated Krystal from Star Fox Adventures, one of the first games he played in childhood. Krystal can do all the stuff she can do in the first part of Adventures, plus a few other things like swimming and climbing. The demo looks fantastic! Hard to believe it's just a demo on a simplified console game engine.
Unfortunately, CaptainKnight808 has no plans to release this demo, which makes me sad. However, he is working on other demos which show powerful 3rd person action gameplay features. He more recently created a demo with a red-furred Krystal-inspired character that might be more readily released. (The character appears green here because of the lighting.)
Krazoa Palace Stage Revealed in Fangame Super Smash Flash 2

Though she's not released yet, Krystal was revealed as a fighter in 2018. The creators, McLeodGaming, are still working on the game, preparing its next release with tons of new characters and features, so unfortunately, Krystal isn't available yet.
In the meanwhile, however, the team has revealed a new stage from Star Fox Adventures: Krazoa Palace. In this stage, there are two floating platforms, and an optional hazard fan that gently levitates the fighters above it. You can see Fox and Krystal on the stage here.

Krystal Cosplay-ception
When doing research for Moonllita's cosplay appearance at the Montréal ComicCon in July 2019, I noticed something particular in the background of some of the footage.
Two Krystals! At the same time, in the same convention! How did we not notice?! I was all geared up to get you guys to help me figure out who this cosplayer was, because I couldn't find any information about it... until a few hours later when, presumably in reference to the Moonllita post, the original cosplayer contacted me and gave me a bunch of info! So I've got the scoop, and I will be posting about this new cosplayer soon. I just wanted to have a little fun with this discovery, especially since I made the video before hearing from the new Krystal.
