The 5 Stages of Krystal Not Being In Smash Bros.
Denial
"He's LYING! Krystal has to be in the game! They wouldn't leave her out again. Not this time! Don't give up, people! Fight for Krystal! FIGHT! Oh God... Oh God... Oh God... *breaks down in tears*" - Glitcher
Anger
"Well this sucks bollocks. She'd damn well be on DLC. This proves Nintendo hates both her and Wolf." - the_randomizer
Bargaining
"I speak Japanese, so maybe I can ask Sakurai directly if Krystal will ever be in the game via DLC, because frankly, this is BS in my opinion :/ Failing that, the game will be hacked." - the_randomizer
Depression
"No Krystal..." - Ederys
Acceptance
"it's okay that krystal is not in the game..." - Rareware#1Fan
I was reading through some of the comments you guys have been making about the new Smash roster. I don't mean to make fun of your disappointment. Few can be more disappointed than me. But, you've gotta admit, this obsessive disappointment is kinda funny when you think about it. :D
“Star Fox” eShop Sale
Just a small post with a small bit of news. As you may or may not know, Nintendo is doing a series of game sales based on the characters in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, in anticipation of the official 3DS launch of the game in North America. Each week, a different set of games goes on sale based on characters and their universes. Fox McCloud is included among those characters in the sale beginning September 25th, along with Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Kirby, King Dedede, Pikmin and Olimar, Pac-Man, and the Animal Crossing Villager.
It's most likely only going to be Star Fox 64, for the Wii U's Virtual Console. (eShop is for Wii U and 3DS, Wii Shop Channel is for the original Wii, and I believe you can get Star Fox 64 on both.) But you never know, Nintendo could pull a surprise move and also list the original Star Fox or even (gasp!) Star Fox 2 for sale on the eShop.
Stay tuned, and we'll see.
Oh, by the way... Hi! I'm Dogman15. I'm going to be helping Mr. Krystal out with a few posts. I wrote the last two posts.
More Krystal and Star Fox mods: Left 4 Dead 2 and Garry’s Mod
Remember the First Left 4 Dead 2 Krystal mod we posted? That was Krystal in her Assault uniform. Goldmember did a good job with that. But there's also another Krystal mod, this one made by Bitterskunk, featuring Krystal in her Adventures outfit.
As with the other Krystal mod, this one replaces Rochelle. And like most character skin mods that replace models, the mouth does not move. However, this mod is unique in that it turns the game's Electric Guitar melee weapon into Krystal's staff from Star Fox Adventures. No staff sound effects, so her staff still sounds like a guitar. (If you have sounds for Krystal's staff, let us know so that Bitterskunk can be helped!) The crystals on the top and bottom of the staff glow-in-the-dark.
Again, like with the last Left 4 Dead 2 post, we need to remind people that this is an M-rated zombie survival game, and if that isn't your thing, then you might want to steer clear of this. But if you already enjoy playing this cooperative game with an engaging story and music/sound, then this mod is worth trying.
While we're on the topic of Left 4 Dead 2, there are some other L4D2 mods that might be of interest to Star Fox/Krystal fans. This mod replaces the "credits" music ("The Monsters Within") with the "Mission Complete" music from Star Fox 64 3D. This mod replaces the "running to the rescue vehicle" music ("Skin on Our Teeth") with the "Space Battleground" music from Star Fox: Assault.

Sakurai: Roster Finalized 2 Years Ago
This is sort of old news, but in an article on Gamerant, Masahiro Sakurai talked about the development of Super Smash Bros. 4 and said that the final roster was finalized two years ago. All of those campaigns and petitions for certain characters to be in the game (including Krystal)? Unfortunately, they couldn't be used. Not because Sakurai doesn't care about fan requests, but because it takes so long to make a game. It takes a while to balance every single character and their interactions with each other. Because of this, the character lineup must be finalized a great deal in advance.
So Sakurai wants to tell you guys "no hard feelings". Maybe next time, or in DLC if they can test it properly.
Smash Leak: Final Roster Confirmed
Another leak showing of the game's roster exactly the same as before. But this time, there's also a screen informing the player he has unlocked the All-Star Mode, where you can face off against every character, implying heavily that this constitutes all the characters. Wolf is definitely not here. Mii Fighters are noticeably missing, but no-one knows how they're going to work as far as the roster goes.
I'm pretty sure this is the final version, not the demo version that was playable in Japan earlier this week. However, roster space and the fact that this is the 3DS version (as opposed to the Wii U version), makes me hopeful for DLC characters, especially if Nintendo wants to add some additional incentives to pick up the game on Wii U that they essentially already have on the 3DS.

T. Pendragon’s Krystal Trophy Sculpture
T. Pendragon has finished his Krystal sculpture designed to look like the Brawl trophy. He made it by first using a posing figure and wire to get the general shape, then covered it with Sculpey clay. Then he continued to refine and detail it until it was ready for painting. You can see the steps at the following links:

Exclusive: Star Fox: Event Horizon Krystal Alt. Revealed
UndyingNephalim sent me some renders of a new alternate costume for Krystal in Star Fox: Event Horizon. I've unofficially dubbed this reimagined Star Fox Adventures outfit as "Warpaint Krystal". Click the image for the full resolution. It's from the part of the game that re-imagines the story of Star Fox Adventures. In it, Krystal is NOT captive for the entire story arc, but is instead released early and assists the Star Fox team against General Scales.
Fox McCloud Alternate Costume Announced for Bayonetta 2
Be warned, gentle readers. Bayonetta is a game of over-the-top violence. There's a lot of blood and a few instances of torture devices in other parts of this video.
Today's Nintendo Direct was an exposé on Bayonetta 2 from Platinum Games. They talked about the different modes, weapons, characters, techniques, and costumes. In addition to a Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Samus Power Suit, and Link costume, a Star Fox costume joins the lineup. Bayonetta wears Fox ears, a fluffy fox tail, a Star Fox 64-esque flight suit, and her guns turn into mini-Arwings that make the trademark laser sounds.
Now if only we could get her to wear a Krystal-themed costume. I'd say with Bayonetta's propensity for skimpy clothing, an Krystal Adventures costume and staff-based weaponry would be a perfect for her.

Star Fox: Lylat Legacy Comic
Layeyes' Star Fox: Lylat Legacy is a Star Fox comic of fantastic artistic quality starting with the back story of Fox's rise to his father's legacy forming the Star Fox Team. It will eventually cover the entire rest of the Star Fox series (except Command)! It looks like every single canon Star Fox character ever created will be involved, especially our favorite blue vixen.
Follow the comic on its official webcomic reader page, updated with a new page weekly. Follow the ongoing development and concept art at the official Tumblr blog. Also, if you want to see how Krystal will look, here's all the posts tagged with Krystal.

Mancoin’s Krystal Cosplay and Plushie
Mancoin, a multi-talented Krystal artist, has released photos of his Krystal (Assault!) cosplay and Krystal Adventures Plush.
The Krystal cosplay was performed at Unicon 2014 in Riga, the capital of Latvia, on August 2nd and 3rd 2014. From the photos, I can tell the costume features a movable jaw, a rare Assault costume (well, rare for Krystal cosplay anyway), and a blaster. If anyone knows of other photos or video, please let me know.
Meanwhile, in June 2014, he also posted a photo of his custom Krystal Plushie that won second place at Nyaaa, another anime convention in Utena, Lithuania.
You should definitely check out Mancoin's cosplay gallery. He's done some really impressive cosplay for several of my other favorite characters like Renamon and Dust.
