Question: Would you buy a Krystal charm?
This is a question for everyone. Charms are little, hand-painted figures you can attach to your keychain, bag, or set on a shelf as a figure. If you had the opportunity to buy a Krystal charm, would you?
I walked by the Oxygen Impulse Studios booth at Furry Fiesta 2016 a few months ago and saw the Renamon charm you see above. I knew that we needed a Krystal version if Renamon was there! Turns out, the artist (Zyn) had been told by several other con-goers the same thing. I told her about the Krystal Archive and mentioned that there may be a market of Krystal fans who would want a Krystal charm of their own as well! She and I worked out a deal to make a custom Krystal charm, with the potential to make several, available for sale to you and other Krystal fans around the world.
Tentative Specs
- Hand-painted, chibi Krystal charm
- Modeled after Star Fox Adventures Krystal
- About 1.5-2 inches tall
- Hanging movable tail piece (like those in the photos above)
- Able to stand upright without support, unlike the Renamon charm
- $20-$40 dollars apiece (exact price not yet set)
I bring this to you to gauge interest, she's only going to make so many. I already paid to have the charm designed and made, so I will definitely be getting my Krystal charm. The question is, will you get one too? Answer in the comments!
My Extended Absence
Hello Krystal fans! Mr. K here. Please grant me a few words to talk about the previous few weeks of absence.
As I mentioned before, I injured my hands posting so much Star Fox Zero news, and couldn't even play the game. Right after that, I went to Seattle for Everfree NW. I had a pretty good time, and I even got to meet up with rhyfe2002 for dinner.
When I got back, I went to a family event. Unfortunately, I got roped into helping my sibling move, and I did a lot of extra driving, tiring me more. Finally getting back to Austin two weeks ago, I rested. I just didn't have the strength to start going through all the Krystal Archive emails yet. So I worked on some other projects hoping to finish them so I wouldn't have to think about them while working on the KA.
I am now on a THIRD trip, again with family, for a sibling's wedding. For now, at least, I'm going to try to make a dent in the backlog of posts. Thankfully, after this trip, I have very little scheduled for the rest of the year. I hope to use this time to get a lot of old projects finished, both KA and otherwise.
Here's what you can expect soon. I plan to do a new podcast within a week or two. There is much to talk about in terms of Star Fox Zero and the site. Plus, E3 is coming up quickly. I now have the basic resources I need to redesign the site again, aiming for much better loading performance and security. Many new web technologies I had been waiting on have begun to trickle out. I need to set up a basic Star Fox Archive site, and finish releasing what I promised from my 2014 presentation.
Ayano Caramelldansen
Ayano does the Caramelldansen dance, a meme from a few years ago. I can't embed the video here, but check out the original tweet to see it.
Catching up on current events!
Not Dead
Hey guys! As some of you have noticed, I haven't posted here since around the time Star Fox Zero came out. I am sorry about that. See, I had been posting for hours and hours each day due to the sheer amount of Star Fox news coming out hourly during that time. It was great, but it took its toll. I managed to injure my hands which prevented me from really working on the site at all. At work in real life, I got thrust into a very important project that had a hard deadline and it was fast approaching. With all the busy-ness, I haven't even been able to play Star Fox Zero more than a couple hours. Emails got backed up and posts weren't made. Don't worry though. I have received all of your emails and messages. I will go through them soon. However, I ask that you please remain patient for a little bit longer.
I leave tomorrow morning at 5AM for Seattle (come see me at Everfree NW, if you're in the area). Immediately after I get back, I leave for another trip to see my family. I'll be able to post a little bit during the trips, but don't expect miracles. I can't wait to get back in the swing of things. There is a LOT to talk about. See you soon!
PS - If you are going to be at Everfree, post a comment (or email me and let's meet up!
Star Fox Zero Parody Review
Warning: Mild language and sexual references
First off, this is a PARODY. Please do not watch this if you can't stand to laugh at yourself, Star Fox, or Nintendo. I personally find this parody by TheBitBlock pretty good. It came out long before Star Fox Zero did. Krystal even makes a few appearances! It's amazing that his Krystal joke predated my April Fools joke, and is almost exactly the same, but neither of us was aware of the other's work. Perhaps we're both in tune with Star Fox fans' wants and dreams.

Star Fox Swag at Nintendo NY
The Nintendo NY Store is handing out exclusive items that they featured on their twitter feed. You can play the game on a massive screen in an Arwing cockpit. Players apparently receive one of the E3 Arwing pins. Purchasers of the game can get some 'top-secret documents' in a "flight pack" with their patch and game. They can also get a poster featuring every Star Fox game. Various Star Fox clothing is also available for purchase. Check out the photos below.
If anyone is in or near New York and can obtain one of the "flight pack" promos, please contact me immediately! I need to obtain those top secret documents for Star Fox history. I will reimburse you for your purchase and time.

Photos of European Preorder Bonuses
Alright, I'm a little envious. Europe got a metal-case edition of the game, and those who got preorders were given a Star Fox Zero t-shirt. Check out all the photos here. (Source GoNintendo)

Japanese Version of Star Fox Zero - The Battle Begins
The same animation, but with Japanese voices. It's pretty clear that the lip-syncing was designed for the Japanese dub, but the animation was aimed mostly at English-speaking audiences because of the English lettering and first-release in America. It also explains why they misspelled Peppy Hare's last name in the comm screens. (Source GoNintendo)
