The Smashified Team chose Krystal as their first character to Smashify after the official end of Smash 4 updates. Really cool to see their support! In the video above, they talk about how they spent months going over how to design Krystal to take all of her previous outings into account, yet modernizing her staff and jumpsuit. They did a particularly nice job on the fur.

Hello everyone. Due to happenstance, I have been away from the site for two and a half weeks. I haven't been updating or even checking the emails, except to see that a lot of stuff was happening! Man, I picked the wrong time to get suddenly busy in real life. Sorry about that.

I have a lot of emails and news to catch up on, and will begin doing so right after I finish posting this. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm not dead or hurt, and that I'm sorry for disappearing on you guys for so long.

This is a guest post by Brian, our 'agent in the field' at Further Confusion 2016. He was instrumental in getting Ayano and FJ McCloud (the Fox cosplayer) together at the con and grabbed us tons of footage and images. The rest of the images and video are coming later, but for now, he wanted to let you guys know a little about what went down at the convention. The following is his own message to you all. ~ Mr. K

Yesterday was Krystal and Fox Day at Further Confusion 2016 as I filmed them going round the con and posing for photos together, along with another fursuiter for a while. During the day, there was a man behind them playing the stage music to Corneria from the original Star Fox game. When Krystal and Fox heard it, they started to dance to it. Shortly after that, Krystal also did a dance of her own. I even got the chance to request some poses for them for several photos. Here are a few at the bottom of this post. I do have lots more pictures and plenty of video footage which will appear on my Flickr and YouTube accounts in time.

As photos and media come in, they will be posted here. Not only can you expect more Ayano photos, but also those of FJ McCloud, a Fox McCloud cosplayer.

Ayano is making her yearly appearance at Further Confusion as I write this. Though I am not in attendance, I have a couple agents on the ground in contact with her (man, it feels cool to say that). I mentioned on the podcast that Ayano's Star Fox Command suit wouldn't quite be ready for Further Confusion, but we should see some Assault and Adventures Krystal during the show. I wonder if Ayano brought that 'summer suit' with her?

It's been 10 years! 10 years of Krystal news, games, art, cosplay, 3D renders, fan games, podcasts, interviews, chats, animations, plushies, cutscenes, voice acting, events, stories, research, and, of course, April Fools jokes. Let's not forget 10 years of memorable Star Fox, furry, gaming, and life events that have happened. This site has been around long enough to see a whole new generation of gamers discovering Krystal for the first time, as well as some sad memories of beloved fans and game-creators alike who have passed on from this world. Through it all, the Krystal Archive lives up to its namesake: an archive, never fading, celebrating our beloved blue vixen. Krystal, an unlikely secondary character in a mildly successful game, has managed to draw the admiration, attention, and sometimes the gall, of huge numbers of people from all over the planet. As we enter 2016, I wonder what new things will happen. What changes will we see? What news will we bring? One thing is for certain, however, the Krystal Archive will remain for as long as it is able.

Thank you all for taking this amazing journey with me. It has been my pleasure to bring you this site, its content, and in some ways, its community, all these 10 years. I hope you will stick around, because I'm certainly not finished. There's much work to be done! Join me, won't you?

What a nice thing to wake up to today. This very nice Fox statue is coming out February 9th, and is available for preorder now. I just ordered mine. Actually, I ordered 2. They're a bit pricy at $80 apiece, but it is a very good statue.
